Incorporate the Top "X" scripts into native WME
Given the recent injection of malicious code into scripts used by the majority of experienced editors
https://www.waze.com/discuss/t/urgent-two-scripts-were-compromised-on-feb-1-please-read-if-you-use-scripts/365499
I strongly urge Waze relook at the Top "X" scripts that were identified several years ago and incorporate them into native WME.
These scripts serve several functions
1) Increase navigation precision: JAI (mentioned above) is absolutely needed for experienced editors to determine the angles and thus, the turn announcements when one moves from one segment to the next
2) Speed up editor time: ColorSpeed (also mentioned above) and others, like LaneTools or Road Shield Assistant, provide a quick visual on the overall WME to see what information is added to which segments. This is a huge time saver compared to selecting each segment individually.
3) Fix for native bugs: The "Reduce Kinetic Zooming" feature in FUME, actually allows me to use my mouse on a Mac. Without it, a small touch of my mouse could send WME zooming many miles away.
I recommend Waze do a quick recheck of the top X scripts with the GCs and devise a plan to incorporate those features into native WME.
I understand there will be scripts that WME will never plan to incorporate. However, there more functionality WME incorporates, the less scripts we have to rely on.
Thanks.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

I'd give this 100 votes if I can. Scripts like Junction Angle should just be part of the native WME. Waze functionality depends on our mapping angles. If this script didn't exist, how would we know?
Every Waze editor in every country benefits from this.HN NavPoints does a much better job than the WME provided House Numbers layer.
As OP noted LaneTools and Road Shield Assistant are also worthy of being included in native WME. Surely there are other scripts as well.
Without scrips the quality of what I have been able to map would be significantly impacted.
Editors and Wazers owe a lot of thanks to the script authors and maintainers. Alas, it is only normal over time for some of these contributors to move on, and that may leave scripts unfunctional, or even worse, exploited as recently happened.
Moving script functionality into WME will ensure the longevity of core editing tools, for the benefit of everyone.
