Ability to update or suggest speed limit change in areas where it is posted and different than the map shows
There are places, within my area in Kansas, where the speed limit shown on the map does not match what is posted. Similar to being able to mark where police officers are, hazards in the road or even updating gas prices- there should be an option to click on the speedometer in the area and update it to match, OR submit this information in that spot when it’s found.

Allow easier editing of new addresses with homes facing the "wrong way"
Our development is a cul-de-sac with addresses that won't save in the map editor because the homes are all side-facing. This makes it difficult to share the address with guests if they aren't able to navigate there. Please allow all editors the ability to add their homes to the map. Thanks!

Set up a schedule
It would be good to be able to set a schedule, for example; weekdays leaving between 08:00 - 08:30 set destination as Work, leaving between 17:00 and 17:30 set destination as Home. I always set destination for regular routes as Wase tells me of accidents, traffic (and speed cameras 😇) It would be good it it had a timeout too, so if the schedule hadn't been used for say 60 minutes it automatically cancels.

bike paths
It would be cool if bike paths could be added and the category 'footpath' could be renamed to 'path', allowing one to select which type of path it is (footpath, bike path).

Custom speeds by user
This is just effected to the current user only.
Just like the emergency buttons in the default map view, individuals can pick a new button named "Custom Speed." From here, they can set a speed value and distance. Additionally, setting a time range would be even better.

More APIs for voice Assistants
Users can use Google Assistant, Siri, etc., to add alerts (e.g., road closures, weather) and to turn on/off Waze settings, such as reading the next speed limit and turning off reading aloud road names... etc

Request to Waze team
Request to the Waze Team
Please add a feature to Waze that uses OBD2 to provide vehicle speed pulses. Currently, when entering a tunnel, the vehicle stops on the map, so I would like this feature to ensure accurate navigation within tunnels.
In Japan, there are interchanges within tunnels, making accurate navigation difficult without this feature. To improve this, please enable the use of an OBD2 connector to provide speed information even within tunnels.
Additionally, I believe Waze could generate profit by supporting OBD2 and selling Waze-compatible OBD2 devices. It would also be helpful if these OBD2 devices could automatically…

Railroad Crossing info
my idea would be trying to either intergrade the USA FRA railroad crossing locator app into waze or make it so we can add the info manually so if at a crossing where there may be an incident a user can click on the crossing and it will bring up the crossing ID number and the emergence contact phone number for the Railroad.
I feel like this feature could possibly save lives considering most do not know where to look for the signs at the crossing nor know that the locater app even exists.

Move the Triangle reporting icon to the LEFT side of the screen on Car Play to make it easier for the driver reach
FOR SAFETY REASONS...
Moving the report triangle to the left side of the Car Play screen would make if FAR easier for the DRIVER to report Hazards and other actions.
Currently, having the triangle on the RIGHT side of the screen requires reaching and taking eyes completely off the road to accurately click the icon. This is especially critical on newer vehicles with LARGE screens like Toytota Tundras. Moving the triangle to the Left side of the Screen would enhance safety and be easier to reach.3 votes -

WME specific report types
Waze map editors can access a wider range of report types on the Waze app, including speed bumps. These reports are listed with their corresponding locations on the Waze map editor website, allowing editors to accurately add speed bumps where they were reported. Other report types include speed cameras, tollbooths, sharp curves, new places, and more.

Disable street name popups on the map when using Apple CarPlay?
I have a problem with the map when using Apple CarPlay. The car's display shows constantly changing large, annoying blocks (popups) with street names. Those blocks often fall over critical parts of the map I'm just driving to. That's why I can't see where I need to go on the map. For example, an upcoming intersection will be completely covered. I use the map with the setting to always keep north at the top (just in case that makes a difference).
My proposal is to create an option in the settings to enable and disable these blocks. This makes the…3 votes -
Enable smooth, kinetic panning of the map when using keyboard keys, disable for when using a mouse
When using keyboard keys to pan the map, the map chops in the desired direction. This should be a smooth, kinetic movement. When using a mouse, the map will sometime move with kinetic movement if the mouse is in motion when the drag-click is released. This should be an option that can be enabled or disabled by the editor as a preference.

Offline Downloads by state
Google maps let's you download offline maps by area but I think if a offline map feature was added it should be by state because it would be convenient for people doing long cross country road trips.
