Time based speed limits
Speed limits are not always a fixed ones. For example , roads around the schools have a speed limit of 30 kmph during the morning and evening hours. Whereas this limit is not valid for Sundays and during the rest of hours in a day.

Temporary Speed Limits for construction
Allow editors to set Temporary Speed limits, similar to a closing, that will time out to the default, road set limit, after the time period has lapsed. It would be able to be set for the same time period as the closure, if desired, or during events, if necessary.

Allow link RPP and Google addresses
Why we can link POI but can't link addresses?
We have a lot of problem with google addresses and have to use different hacks for it.
I suggest add function linking RPP and Google addresses like in POIs432 votes -
Internal editor Notes on User Reports
Give editors the ability to enter Notes onto User Reports without these going to the reporters themselves.
This will allow us to leave messages for other map editors without the reporter being notified, for example, Please leave open - due to a Waze developer investigation, Please leave open for a pending site survey, etc.
It may also give us the ability to for to use for an internal conversation about the report that the reporter doesn't need to know about.
Yes, I know we have Map Comments, but having the ability to do this directly on the report would make…

Accept and reject individual suggestions in PUR
Problem summary:
The workflow for place update requests (PUR) is clunky and confusing. We can reject or approve only - yet two or three of the five suggestions might be useful while the others not. After clicking on a PUR for the first time, it is also unclear what is new, changed or deleted.
User story:
I clicked on a PUR pending changes for an existing venue and this is what was displayed:

- It is not apparent what the proposed changes are. I do not know if everything listed is new, changed (e.g. typo fixed) or a proposed deletion.

Add closures to new segments
It would be really great if we could add closures to segments just after creating them. Currently that's not possible. In this case, once the segments are built into the map, the closures would be added to them automatically
Why?
Sometimes city administrations make few changes in the traffic by creating new roads. The problem is that most of the times (at least where I live) we don't know exactly when those roads will be released. In addition, map build may delay.
So, as soon as we know a new road will be built, we can create it on WME…

UR Reply via Email
This is slightly outside the scope of WME Beta, but in general about our ability to provide a better service for end users.
Allow users to reply to URs via email. Many support systems allow this, and in most cases, the process is fairly simple. The process might be as follows:
- User submits a request/issue from the app while they drive
- We (editors) get a pin on the map with submitted details as before
- User gets an email with a unique response email address (something like 8766123133@requests.waze.com)
- User gets instructions on how to view the map issue they submitted
- …
298 votesHey jangliss,
Thank you very much for this detailed suggestion.
Currently there is a lot of work around communication between the WME and the client (the app), to find how best should be handled. We will do our best to share some more details about it in the near future.
At this point this is currently not planned, and therefore won’t move to our back log.
If any thing in this direction will be changed, we will update accordingly.
Best,

[Request] Allow to make streets two way temporarily
Allow to make streets two way temporarily, like closures, but the other way around.
Sometimes construction works require you to open another street and turns. And you cannot do this in time by editing map. You can close the streets, but you cant OPEN the streets for some time. I mean one way or with restricted turns.
So we need an option to temporarily bypass one way setting and closed turns penalty. This may be called Openers :)By: Olestas

Include Lane Guidance with URs in purple provided route
Currently when we get a UR, we can see what primary instructions were given to users at junctions. Now that we have lanes, it would be helpful in diagnosing problematic lane configurations if we could see what lane guidance information was presented to the user as well.

Link to original suggestion: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1525&t=306981281 votesAt the moment, this is not planned. That said, we introduced more user settings in URs that hopefully have improved the overall experience.

BUS/Motorcycle Lane
Add the option to mark a lane as a BUS lane.
If we have 3 lanes -> Turn left | Front | BUS
We cannot give exact information to the user, because we can only show 2 lanes, because we cannot display the BUS to not mislead the driver.
In Portugal, motorcycles can ride on the BUS lane, so it also helped motorbike drivers a lot

Thank you for this suggestion.
This is not a priority for the team at the moment and we won’t move forward with it.
We encourage you to keep on coming up with great suggestions

A true support for bilingual countries
I noticed that Waze doesn't approach bilingual countries just like GMM does.
For example, in GMM, we can write multiple names for the same road in 2 different languages and based on the user's current phone language chosen, the map changes accordingly.
Unfortunately that doesn't happen in Waze, we are stuck in 1 language only, even if we add "Alternative" name. Here in Kuwait, we use both Arabic and English (Even street signs are written in both Arabic and English) , in Google Maps we are having no problems since most of the roads in the map are written in…
237 votesSince bilingual support is a bigger issue affecting not just the WME, this is a company-wide decision that we will bring to the relevant teams.

Allow Junction Boxes and Paths to exist together
When editing, there are many times that you need to restrict a turn that would require the use of a Junction Box (JB) to accomplish. The issue is that if a different route, that does not fit in the JB, needs to have Paths set up, we have to choose one or the other.
We need the ability to set Paths through a JB
208 votesGreat timing! We’re currently working on allowing Junction Boxes and Paths to exist together. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

Limit number of reports that can be dropped in a small area
This morning a Wazer dropped 17 reports in a parking lot. This is really uncalled for. The number of reports should be limited to X number of reports to X number of feet/km. It is OK if it is coming from multiple users, for instance an accident or closure on a highway. But one user should not be able to drop that many reports in one small area. This was limited to a small parking lot where this happened.

Copy and Paste Turn Instructions from one turn to another
Please allow us to Copy into the clipboard (or similar function) all Turn Instructions from one turn, and Paste them into another turn.
Quite often, I'm having to replicate the same instructions for different turns at the same junction for those coming from different directions, but turning into the same road. It would be a big timesaver if we could copy TIs into other turns without having to repeat the same steps.
193 votesThanks for supporting this suggestion! We've added it to the WME team's backlog, and hope to get to it in the near future. We will follow up here when we have an update, or need more info from the community.

Place Hours: Sunrise to Sunset
When adding Places, especially outdoor places (such as parks, playgrounds, beaches, etc), there are often posted hours saying the Place is open only sunrise to sunset, or conversely that the Place is closed sunset to sunrise. Unfortunately, the existing Place hours interface doesn't allow for these kinds of hours, only HH:mm times. As sunrise and sunset times change constantly, and in some places drastically due to orbital motion of the earth and time changes due to daylight savings times, it is impractical to estimate open/closing times using HH:mm formats.
It would be beneficial to both app users and map editors…
191 votesThanks all! We're researching this further and will come back with follow up questions shortly.

Automatically clear the street city field when its value is "None"
Currently, when opening the street name editing panel, the input fields get populated with the string "None" (localized), which requires editor to delete the text manually before setting a new name.
When the street has a "none" street or city name, these fields should be empty (or, at most, with a "none" placeholder that disappears when clicked).
If the user does not change them, consider them as being "none".

Permit Alphanumeric Prefix in RPP HN
App users can create RPPs with alphanumeric prefixes but WME allows neither the creation, nor editing of RPPs containing them.
Suggest at least allowing N, S, E, W prefixes on HN portion of an RPP to pass checks on save.
In Wisconsin, a large part of the state's addresses use alphanumeric HNs.

Ability to edit PUR photos to blur items
Very often we have to reject a PUR photo when it contains either identifiable people or licence plates. If we had a simple tool in WME that would allow us to blur those details then those pictures could be used. Current situation is quite unbearable since we have to reject way over 50% of PUR photos because of aformentioned reasons. It also affects negatively on user's eagerness to take photos if the ones they've taken before do not end up to use and we currently cannot even tell why those have been rejected.

We are looking into its feasibility on our end, and will update accordingly

Manage closures in the Issue Tracker menu
Live closures are one of the most important contributions that editors can make to the Waze map
The functionality of viewing past closures on the map has recently been added, which adds complexity to the view.
This suggestion involves managing closures from the Issue Tracker, allowing you to filter those that have been completed, those that are about to expire, or those within a period of time; or by zones in the same way as the UR, PUR or MP
I guess this sug includes this one: https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/47514620-show-only-active-closures and this one https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/45584869-move-closures-history-to-the-closures-tab164 votesThanks for submitting a suggestion! Closures will likely not be part of the Issue Tracker but we are looking into other solutions.

Put a Seed on the Production map (from the Editor) to "ask for specific questions" to actual wazers
Could be used for many things.
My idea would be:
a) Wazer, do you see a traffic light in "this" corner?
1. Yes
2. No153 votes
