Allow Junction Boxes and Paths to exist together
When editing, there are many times that you need to restrict a turn that would require the use of a Junction Box (JB) to accomplish. The issue is that if a different route, that does not fit in the JB, needs to have Paths set up, we have to choose one or the other.
We need the ability to set Paths through a JB
Great timing! We’re currently working on allowing Junction Boxes and Paths to exist together. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

Perhaps the paths idea and this idea could be combined.

Pull all path/far lane functionality out of junction boxes. Let junction boxes collect data and restrict turns. Let Paths do everything else.
There are other ways to do it, but this might be the easiest.

What John said :)
I think the majority of where this combination exists is where a JB is used to restrict a U-Turn. The other alternative is to come up with a method of having a U-Turn restriction with something other than the JB.

Since U-turns on divided roads cannot be easily prohibited in the native editor nor with paths we have to add JBs. However, there are many instances where paths exist and must remain due to very long paths for this a JB will not work. Therefore, a smaller JB just to prevent U-turn would be very important.
