Display international and state-level borders in WME
A quality-of-life improvement for WME that would make cross-border editing easier.

Use RTC history to create new RTC on the same segments
It would be very convenient to be able to re-create a RTC based on the RTC history for one or more segments. This would also require being able to choose to select all segments that were included in the original RTC, as well as optionally proposing start / end times.
Two use case examples:
1) Recurring RTCs where the schedule is not known far in advance
For example, there is nightly road construction on a given highway, but this may not repeat every night for various reasons. The actual closure is only published a few hours before, and so requires…

Add oblique imagery (birds eye view) from GMaps to WME
To allow editors a more comprehensive view of an area and to provide an additional data layer of imagery, use the already-available oblique imagery from GMaps in WME.
Oblique imagery allows for a 360° view of a location so we would need a new icon to allow for cycling around the 4 'quadrants' of the imagery.

Drawing similar type segments
In WME Advanced Preferences, similar to the option to “Draw new roads as two-way,” add an option to be able to change the default Road Type to something other than Street.
Helpful when adding a new highway/freeway or a parking lot where all the segment types are the same, I would like to check a box in the Preferences to either “Draw all segments as [Road Type selection]” or “Default Road Type [selection]”

House number editing no longer shows reason for HN error
With the recently released change to how we edit house numbers, we no longer see information of why there is a problem (wrong side, already exists, etc). This functionality needs to be added back, or the actual error needs to be added to the error message, so we understand what the issue is.
Details were provided in this beta post.

Seasonal Roads
In almost every climate, there is some time of seasonal weather condition that closes roads at least temporarily during a season.
For example, in the winter, some municipalities will not plow certain roads where the roads are not servicing any addresses. These roads are legally open, but may not be passable by most vehicles except during periods of melt or the end of the season melt. In other areas, seasonal rains or snowmelt mean that dirt roads are impassible to most vehicles several days at a time due to mud, but are usable in drier spells during that season. Because…

Lines on sections of roads with roundabouts!
We urgently need to implement the ability to add lanes on sections of roads with roundabouts!
There are many sections of roads with roundabouts that use multi-lane and different traffic lanes.
This functionality is severely lacking.75 votes -
Do not allow user selection on buttons
Buttons in WME (UR, PUR, etc.) should not allow the user to select the text. There is no functional use for editors to be able to select this text and attempting to click can result in the text being selected instead of registering a click on the button

Blocking edits when has unread PM
Editors would not be able to edit in WME while they have unread PMs. The idea is to get new editors to contact you to receive instructions about wrong edits. Now we send PMs and they ignore and continue to make wrong edits which forces us to block him via CAR to force him to contact the community

Allow residential places to be moved farther from their "parent" street
Currently, it is generally not possible to create a RPP at, or move an existing one to, a location more than (approximately) 550 m from a segment that has the same street name as the RPP. However, in rural areas of the United States, it is not unheard-of for houses to be located much farther than that from the nearest road. Suggestion: increase the allowed distance for RPPs to at least 1,500 m (no objection if this would require a higher editing level to accomplish than the default R1 for creating an RPP).

School Zones Speed limit 40km 2:30-4pm weekdays
We need to know the school zones and change the speed limit around these times near school which the time is 2:30-4:00 pm Monday to Friday only around school zones this feature should be added in so people like my self don’t get confused with the on screen speedometer

Select segments included in permalink regardless of zoom level
When handling unlock requests for larger areas, or when doing extensive highway closures, we often deal with permalinks that cover a broad area.
To combat the problem currently, we have to break up the PLs, or use a script to select segments as we pan around.
It would be exceptionally helpful and a great time saver if WME would load and select segments that are specified in a PL regardless of the zoom level.74 votes -
ICON Change on RTC for Turns
Currently when you select a segment with an RTC on a turn arrow, you just see the white fence/barricade icon that you see on the node. You then have to hover over the turn arrow, then click on Turn Closures and go to the window that popped up to see if these are active or finished.
I would like to see the icon changed to the the Red Closed symbol when active, like we see on segments when they are actively closed, and then the grey circle we see when they are finished. It would help tremendously in deciding if…

Select entire street also by any of its alternative names
In some cases, it would be helpful to select an entire street not by its main name, but by one of the alternative names that it may have.
For instance, here in Portugal we have a big mountain area where it is needed to apply recurrent road closures due to bad weather (heavy snow). Because road closures are carried out by the authorities in perfectly delimited areas, the Portuguese community decided to put exactly the same name on ALL roads of a same area, even if the real street name is a different one. By doing this, the option ‘Select…

Make Map Comments selectable even when behind Area Places
Please allow editors to select Map Comments that located amidst Area Places.
At present, at least in vanilla WME, neither Map Comment points nor areas are selectable if they are amidst an Area Place. The Places layer has to be turned off (or the obstructing place moved or removed) for the Map Comment to be accessible.
Map Comments are among the most useful things for novice editors to view, but such editors may not be aware of the workarounds required to view Map Comments that are amidst Area Places.
72 votesIf we change the order, does it make sense that a place under the map comment won’t be selectable?

It would be a great idea if the buttons to show the types of existing roads had the colors of the different types of roads in the WME.

Increase Map Editor Feed filter capacity
I would find very useful to have available in the "Feed" of the editor the posibility of filtering, at least, per "Country".

issue tracker: add new area filter - "My editable areas"
For new editors, without a managed area the current Area filters don't allow them to see everything they have editing rights to manage. There should be an additional "My editable areas" option that filters aligned to the Editable Areas layer.

Support "alternate one ways" as permanent hazards
Allow mapping permanent "alternate one ways" as permanent hazards.
Alternate one ways are two-way roads that are not wide enough for two vehicles to transit in opposite directions at the same time.
In Europe, they are the road section within a square blue sign with two arrows (this side has the right of way) and a white circle with 2 arrows with a red border (this way must give way if someone is already transiting from the other direction).

Creating an traffic event from a RTC automatically
Waze wants more traffic events additional to the RTC in order to benefit from the metadata.
Adding a larger amount of traffic events as before needs exceptionally more time and effort.- First, visiting the event tab and creating an event with name, duration etc.
- Adding the respective RTCs with again entering name and duration. 3.Again, going to the event tab and submitting the event.
This is too much work to keep up in general.
So solve this, I suggest the possibility to create an event from the closures tab automatically using the already submitted closure name and duration (as an…
