  1. Here are several feature ideas that could significantly improve the Waze driving experience:Showing the averag

    1. Average Speed Display
      Showing the average speed between speed cameras or along specific road segments to help drivers maintain legal and safe speeds.

    2. Road Bumps and Potholes Alerts
      Allowing users to report speed bumps, potholes, and damaged road surfaces to warn other drivers and improve ride safety.

    3. Public Restroom Locations
      Adding clearly marked public toilet locations along routes and in urban areas for drivers who need quick stops.

    4. Vehicle Type Selection (Cars & Trucks)
      Enabling drivers to select their vehicle type, including trucks and delivery vehicles, so routes are optimized based on road width, height restrictions, and inaccessible streets.

  3. Highway shields instead of plain numbers in Livemap and WME

    In the Waze Map Editor and in Livemap, highways are currently identified only by “badges” that display the route numbers, without their alphabetical prefixes.

    It would be very helpful to update these highway badges in both WME and Livemap to use the highway shield standard that already exists in the app.

    This change would not only improve clarity, but also promote visual consistency of highway shields across all Waze platforms.

  4. Fix the bug where it says you must submit current edits for review before you can edit another segment.

    There's a bug where it says, "To edit another section, you must submit current edits for review." However, I have no edits ready to submit. After a few refreshes, one may show up so I deleted any edit shown under the "submit edits" button and start over but end up with the same error message.

    So either there's a bug or you can't edit the speed limit on multiple segments of the same road at the same time? If that's the issue, then that would also be a pain. In about one mile of road in my local neighborhood, I'm…

  5. Post-Trip Summary & Route Comparison

    I would like to request a "Trip Summary" card that appears automatically upon reaching a destination. Currently, the navigation simply ends, and valuable driving data is lost.

    Proposed Metrics to Display:
    - Performance: Distance, Total Time, Avg/Max Speed.

    • Efficiency: Estimated fuel/battery cost for the trip.

    • Traffic Insight: Moving time vs. Stopped time (idling/traffic).

    Smart Comparison Feature: For frequent routes (specifically "Home" to "Work" and vice versa), the summary should include a comparison against the user's historical average.

    Example: "You arrived 3 minutes faster than your average commute."

  6. Add cycling tracks for end-users and "Waze Edit mode"

    Make cycling an option for end-users and in "Edit mode", alongside the existing options for Road, Walking Trail, Roundabout, and Junction box, considering there is more and more bicycle usage across the globe.

  7. Show the direction of travel on one-way streets

    I was driving through a downtown area yesterday that has a lot of one-way streets. I was trying to leave the area, but couldn't see which one-way street was going in the direction I needed to go. Can waze put arrows in the direction of travel allowed on one-way streets?

  11. Add start/end for average speed zones in WME and take them into account in the app

    We need two new PH camera types for average speed zone start and end detection or a similar approach, which would allow the editors to map the start and end of average speed sections on top of the existing flag for the segments. The cameras would serve the following functions:

    1. Indicate the start of a zone or a section in the zone - to be used for the alerts in the app instead of the segment flag. This would improve the accuracy and the experience for drivers who join the zone/section in the middle, including in residential areas where the…

  13. Import Addresses for route optimization

    Route4Me just lost functionality so Waze has an opportunity here... especially if you want to offer individuals a free plan but then sell to corporations a route optimization tool for their field reps/drivers.
    I used that app for 5 years and was able to import an excel file with my client addresses, they now shut off that option for individuals and you can only access it from a corporate account.

    Basically if I have 10 clients on excel I need to go to today, I want to be able to import that into Waze, and then Waze will "optimize" the…

  14. Allow users/editors to upload a picture for a poi from device/WME rather than take a photo on the place from car. 

    My suggestion is the following feature: Allow users and editors to upload photos from their phone’s gallery (taken before or after visiting a place) rather than only allowing “instant” photos taken from car from a really bad angle.
My suggestion solves this problem: Many current POI photos are low-quality or taken from bad angles because they are often snapped quickly while in transit. Allowing gallery uploads would result in better, more helpful photos that accurately describe a location’s surroundings.
In more words: Finding specific points, like a package delivery locker (automat), can be difficult without clear visual clues. I suggest

  16. Light to Dark mode transitions

    Introduce a fading transition between light and dark modes at sunrise and sunset. Replacing the instant switch with a slow transition prevents visual shock and makes the navigation experience much smoother for nighttime drivers. To make the transition more realistic, I suggest adding a warm yellow/amber tint that gradually overlays the map as it shifts into the darker blue/navy of Night Mode. This mimics the natural 'Atmospheric Scattering' seen at sunset, making the visual change feel organic rather than digital.

  18. Make the speed limit bigger don’t need the speed I’m doing larger as I have a speedo like everyone

    Increase the size of the speed limit which you can hardly see the speedometer is larger which you don’t need as everyone has one in their car or bike

  20. School Zone excluded segment ID option

    Currently, we can exclude based on road types, which in most cases is sufficient. However, there are times that we may need to exclude a segment that is the same road type in the school zone because of cross traffic.

    For example, in the image below, the school zone is on a mH. I can exclude the FWY with no concerns, but the 2 yellow arrows point out some mH segments that I can't currently exclude.
