Light to Dark mode transitions
Introduce a fading transition between light and dark modes at sunrise and sunset. Replacing the instant switch with a slow transition prevents visual shock and makes the navigation experience much smoother for nighttime drivers. To make the transition more realistic, I suggest adding a warm yellow/amber tint that gradually overlays the map as it shifts into the darker blue/navy of Night Mode. This mimics the natural 'Atmospheric Scattering' seen at sunset, making the visual change feel organic rather than digital.

School Zone excluded segment ID option
Currently, we can exclude based on road types, which in most cases is sufficient. However, there are times that we may need to exclude a segment that is the same road type in the school zone because of cross traffic.
For example, in the image below, the school zone is on a mH. I can exclude the FWY with no concerns, but the 2 yellow arrows point out some mH segments that I can't currently exclude. The issue is that if I am driving either of those routes, I will get a School Zone alert, and eventually a reduced SL,…

Allow reporting from iPhone while Waze is connected to CarPlay
I would like to request the ability to submit reports directly from the iPhone, even while CarPlay is active.
This would be useful for passengers or in situations where interacting with the CarPlay screen is not practical.6 votes -
Additional scheduler option needed
I have been adding a bunch of school zones using the new scheduler feature.
It would be nice to be able to to choose a date range and select that it repeats on the same day every week.
For example:
I have come across many schools that are closed most Fridays. Since they aren't closed every single Friday, I can't just remove Friday's from the "included Dates" tab. So I have to add each Friday as an excluded date. For example, in this example:
School starts on August 6 (denoted by the "[")
School is in session on all the…3 votes -
Drag-and-Drop Layer Ordering in WME
Hello,
I would like to suggest a UI improvement in the Waze Map Editor WME.
Previously years in WME, editors could reorder map layers by dragging them in the layers panel using drag handles, allowing layers such as Cities, GPS Points, and Roads to be placed in any order:
https://ibb.co/d0X1FCfJThis feature made it much easier to keep GPS points below roads so they did not obscure the map while editing. With recent changes, this option is no longer available.
I propose restoring custom layer ordering to improve map clarity and usability without relying on scripts or third-party tools.(During…

Add a hidden stop sign permanent hazard.
I think it would improve user safety if we were able to label hidden/hard to see stop signs. For example stop signs behind a bush, after a blind curve, or awkwardly placed signs.

A triangular road section to show a left turn into street and a left turn only exiting street onto main road.
When you are in 2D street view you can see streets sometimes have a left turn into street and a left turn only onto main road how can that be reproduced onto the map.

Customizable Safety Zones (permanent hazards)
We have different "safe zones" that the government created to help make a safer road environment for senior pedestrians (Silver Zones), similar to what is commonly known as "School Zones". Do we have the option to customize permanent hazards for each country? So that drivers can notified about the reduced speed limits at such areas, and each country is able to customize the types of hazards accordingly.

Permanent Hazard Cameras: Electronic Toll Collection
Many locations are now using electronic toll collection systems that take a photo of a user’s license plate, then send the user either a bill or a violation/penalty notice by mail. Since this is relatively new tech, a common concern over many of these applications is that they could be easy to miss, thus causing confusion over an “invisible toll” even if clearly signed. Additionally, some of these toll cameras also act as lane-use and HOV lane cameras in the case of express and HOT lanes. In some jurisdictions, they even act as speed cameras.
Since PHs show up on…
