An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting. That would jive good with all the "don't do alternate routes (side streets) if it's only going to save 5 minutes Or something configurable.

An error occurred while saving the comment Agreed - There's alot of similar suggestions out there. The other night, Waze took me off the highway in the pouring rain and cutting through some unknown residential areas before putting me back on. I don't know IF there was something major on the highway or not. But I'd be willing to sit on the highway for an extra 10 minutes instead of navigating the small roads.

Today, Still light out; no rain. It really wanted me to not get on my usual ramps to the highway. I was feeling stubborn, and only added 2 minutes. Time "saved' through residential isn't always fully realized.
It is incomprehensible that this was never a feature in the first place.
