   We plan to work on Android Automotive in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

   This is extremely important as the introduction of Android Automotive renders the Android Auto obsolete - integration to car infotainment is not needed.
   Furthermore iPhone users cannot (at present) use Apple Carplay on Android Automotive cars (e.g. Polestar 2)
