This has always been the case for as long as I can remember.
You can't make changes to a place with updates pending, your only choice is to Reject or Approve it.
If the update only has minor errors I'd Approve it, Save, then correct the errors.
With the example you gave there are so many errors I'd reject it and, if it is a genuing place, create it yourself. That way you are not adding to the editors tally of approved places, leading to them being able to add places unchecked. This probably isn't the correct forum for this kind of issue, the Waze Editor - Topics would be appropriate

In vanilla production, I can currently enter all information for a closure without removing my fingers from the keyboard.
Enter description - TAB
Use arrow to change direction or press A for A>b, B for B>A, T for two-way - TAB
Type in date (YYYY-MM-DD) - TAB
Enter hours - TAB (POSSIBLE BUG Here is currently a small issue, when I tab into the hours box, it goes to the minutes and I have to shift-tab to get into the hours)
Use arrow to change Event or press N for "none" - TAB
Press space to tick the HOV box - ENTER to saveVanilla WME does this as well.
I can tab through address field and hit enter at any point to activate the "apply" button then TAB to the name box
Tab from name box highlights the "Add alternate name", you can press enter to create new box and then shift-tab to go into alt name box or tab past it which puts you in the category box.If you tab a second time, you can start typing a new category to add it.
NOTE: you can't delete the current category without mouse
tab to description
tab to entry point - press enter to create if needed
tab to external link - press enter to create box and shift-tab twice to take you into box to start typing - arrow through results and press enter to selectNOTE: Lock and PP/AP have to be done by mouse
I have not tested extra tabs yet

Hey!
Thank you for this suggestion. We are currently working on a road shields feature for the WME, and we believe this suggestion will be addressed as part of this development.
We will update accordingly.

This has been requested for years, I remember asking Irad about it in London in 2015, in the form of being able to set direction instructions on turns instead of segments. There is also a 2017 suggestion that is similar: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 4#p1657466

This was partially implemented in the beta editor, it seems :)
It's a bit difficult to trigger, but whenever you have two roads with a different city set, the city gets added to the find-as-you-type results. When exactly it triggers is still a bit unclear to me as it seems to require no city to be set for a new segment to work, though new segments automatically get the local city set already, so this is a relatively rare occurrence.Could be improved further, but I'm already happy this was partially implemented.

jonv-uk, you missed my point, I know you can't make any changes before approval. I was talking about after approval, you can't make any changes on address, only after you click on the background to remove selection and click again on the place.
Even if it's a place with a lot of errors, if the user is registered and we have a way of contact, we should approve it, fix the errors and reach to that editor so we can teach him how to do good editions, that's the spirit of a healthy community. Plus, the place stores important history, created by that editor.
On the other hand, if the user isn't registered, you can approve it anyway and fix the errors since he won't receive any tally of approved places.
I believe this post it's on the right place since it's a suggestion. Cheers.
