Prevent fatal accidents by encouraging a square trip
Drivers drive too fast and pass dangerously because they believe they are saving time. But it is very difficult to shorten the travel time by driving fast . The suggestion is that Waze will recognize that the car is speeding or driving at a significantly higher speed than the average speed on the same road, and give the driver the information that if he travels at the speed limit, his travel time will only be extended by few minutes (Waze will caculate the extended time).

Waze needs to treat their users better
You bunghole pirates at Waze need to stop requiring access to our address books in order to register. It is low guttersniping to get into our private information. It's back to Google maps for me. I might come back... if Waze ever develops a social conscience.

Preimptive Traffic Notification - Please read it is not just what it seems by headline.
Preemptive traffic notifications! Sounds Alarm, chirp, chime, text w.e. the user selects when normal route would be jammed BEFORE leaving their home/spot. You have the info and capability to recognize patterns in people’s lives. If they leave at 7:30 to get on a bus, subway, truckers cranking up, no matter who it is, Waze could see that their normal route is delayed 2 hours and let them know BEFORE they have left. Think of the possibilists. People with flexible schedules, Truckers, Subway goers… Repeating but flexible route drivers (delivery etc.)… lots of people benefit so much! Even me, because I…

Set destination via point on map
Be able to set your destination by selecting point on the map (like in google maps), for places that don't have an exact postcode or you don't know it.

Auto removal of notifications of police etc
When the pop up comes on the screen it should automatically go away once you pass the locations. Having to touch the screen takes your eyes off the road

QEW hot pass
For Ontario you should add the QEW hot lane pass (HOV) as an option - I have a hot lane pass but it is only for use on QEW not 403 - therefore the choices to come into the office or on the way home are never correct as I have to choose HOV lane and then it assumes I can use all HOV lanes. Thank you.

Action points
I'd like to have an action points ability - I'll define at the beginning of the drive for example "call Mike 10 minutes before arriving" and the waze will automatically offer me to call "Mike" when I'm 10 minutes before his house with just pressing the OK button... or similar function wih texts, messenger etc...

I recently followed Waze direction to take a”right”.
I recently was following Waze directions to take a right that ran parallel to train tracks... I ended up on the tracks... luckily I was able to disengage w/o incident given the time of day and entry onto tracks w/ tire damage only... there are no signs or warnings on the road...night time and raining... I’ve been told this happens on frequent occasions w/these conditions... unsure if Waze can build in warning/ hazard alert near any rr crossing directions....apparently state and/ or rr not going to do anything
