1. The May 2023 release of Waze is terrible. Please go back to the previous version.

   Here are the problems I have observed with the May 2023 release of Waze and why I would rather go back to the previous version.
   1. It defaults to having a menu open on the left asking where you want to go with the list of your frequent destinations. I preferred the previous version where if I wanted to navigate somewhere it was easy to click the search icon and bring up this menu.
   2. The menu of locations has Home and then a list of recent places I have gone. The previous version listed Home and then WORK and then the list of recent places. I most often will click on WORK and it's not in the menu anymore.
   3. When I close the menu mentioned in 1 above and just drive, it skews the display and shows my location on the left side of the display. Then, whenever an alert pops up like "stop light camera ahead" or "railroad crossing ahead," the pop up comes up on the left side and blocks the view so I can't see where I am on the map or where the hazard is that's coming up. I would rather it left my position in the center of the display and didn't obscure my position when alerts pop up.
   4. The system is effectively useless now in a car without a touch screen. In my 2018 vehicle, I do not have a touch screen. I have a wheel I spin to highlight the different buttons on the screen and then push in on the wheel to select whatever I have highlighted. In the previous software version, when a pop up like "police reported ahead" or "road kill on road ahead" came on the screen, I could easily spin the wheel to highlight the "there" button and leave it. If I saw the police officer or road kill, I could push in on the wheel to click the "there" button on the screen. If it wasn't there, I could swist the wheel one click to highlight the "not there" button and push in on the wheel to click on the "not there" button. This functionality is completely removed by the latest Waze update. Now, when a pop-up shows up on the screen, it refreshes every couple of seconds. If I try twisting my selector wheel to highlight the "there" button, a couple of seconds later, it resets the display and my cursor goes back to the default highlighting the search magnifying glass icon. I've tried several times to click on "there" or "not there" but by the time I twist the wheel and get the cursor down to the 'there" or "not there" button on the screen, the display resets and moves my cursor back up to the magnifying glass icon again. As it pertains to paragraph 3 above, I can't click on the X to make the "railroad crossing ahead" or "traffic light camera ahead" pop-up go away. If I try to spin the wheel to get to the X to close the pop-up, by the time I get the cursor there, it resets the display again and puts my cursor back up at the magnifying glass. So I have no way to close the pop-ups, and every time a pop-up comes on screen it blocks my view of my location as I stated in paragraph 3.
   5. The whole point and original intent behind Android Auto was to make cars safer by reducing distracted driving. In the old Waze, the speedometer display included the speed limit, the current car speed, and small tick marks to show how far above or below the speed limit you were driving. The tick marks were red if you were above the speed limit or black if you were below the speed limit. It was VERY easy to very briefly glance at the screen and know if I was close to the speed limit and fine or if I was significantly above or below and needed to adjust my speed. The most recent version of Waze got rid of the tick marks. Now it's just the numbers in black or red if you're above the speed limit, but it takes just that much more attention on the display and mental engagement to determine how far off is my speed from the speed limit. The tick marks in the previous version took no mental processing and very little attention on the display. You are forcing drivers to spend more time looking at the screen by getting rid of those tick marks on the speed indication.
   6. It doesn't navigate me where I want to go anymore. In the previous version, I would say "navigate to ______" and Waze would bring up a list of destinations that it thought might match my desired location and I would click on the one I want. Now, it doesn't show me options and it just starts navigating to the WRONG place. In one example, I did a voice command "Navigate to Water Drops Car Wash" which is the name of a specific drive thru car wash just a mile away. Waze has correctly navigated me to Water Drops Car Wash in the past before the update. Now, Waze automatically started navigating me to the closest car wash that was only 0.2 miles away, but it was a self service car wash and not named Water Drops, so NOT the correct, desired destination.
   7. When I put my car in reverse, it turns the rear view camera on. When I take it out of reverse and the camera image goes away, it doesn't go back to Waze. It goes back to the Android Auto app menu and I have to tell it to go back to Waze. I realize this is likely an Android Auto problem not necessarily a Waze problem.

   I hope this feedback is constructive and helpful in improving Waze.

4. Resaltos en las vías en Medellín-Colombia

   Mi sugerencia es que Waze tenga un botón que permita dejar una alerta para identificar donde están los Resaltos que aquí en Medellin y en toda Colombia llaman "Policías acostados". Estos Resaltos están en todas partes y a veces no se ven porque no están bien pintados. Mi sugerencia es que todo conductor los pueda dejar identificados, así como se puede hacer con obras en la vía, objetos en la vías etc., para evitar daños en los carros y para que quienes viajan en los carros no sean sorprendidos por esos Resaltos que muchas veces no están bien pintados y no se ven. La opción para identificarlos podría ser Resaltó y que queden ahí marcados. También con la opción de actualizar en caso que los quiten de la vía. Podrían identificarse con el icono de una línea con franjas negras y amarillas.

7. Improve button position for hazard location

   Why is the “on shoulder” button in the middle and the “on road” button on the side. This is backwards and I always want to hit the wrong button.

8. Vitesse en vigueur et radars fixes

   Bonjour, votre application indique la vitesse autorisée simplement quand on la depasse, ce qui est un problème. Il faudrait que comme sur les autres applications la vitesse autorisée soit visible et d une autre couleur quand on la dépasse.
   Deuxièmement, les utilisateurs annonces l emplacement des radars fixes ce qui est très bien mais avec l(e présence police) ce qui fausse l indication et ma fait annuler 2 radars par erreur !
   Pour indiquer ces radars, pourriez vous créer un logo, (radar fixe ou radar! Ci interdit, flash ou contrôle, ou police fixe, ou boîte ou photo....)
   Ces 2 améliorations serait très, très bien venu.

9. One step drive option - Skip all 3 current steps and just start the drive

   Currently, when you are going to drive somewhere and you have the exact complete unambiguous address, you are forced to go through 3 steps after you enter the address.

   1. you get a list with 1 matching address and some other non-matching addresses, from which you have to tap the matching address at the top.

   2. A map appears with a button that says "view routes". Again, you are forced to tap the button "view routes"

   3. You get a map with one route highlighted and preselected which I believe is the shortest distance and a "Leave later" and a "Go now" button that times out after a while and auto selects "Go now". But if you don't have time to let it time out then you have to tap the "Go now" button, again.

   What I'm proposing is an option in the settings. A "one step drive" option. When selected, after you enter an exact complete unambiguous address, it should just start the drive and skip all those other steps. The route that it usually picks as default is fine as it's usually the fastest.

   I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has never needed the other steps. I usually only end up feeling frustrated that it takes so long to get going when you've entered a unambiguous address.

10. Full, exact, and non-ambiguous addresses should only return the one matching search result, or skip the results screen

    Why show so many extra mismatched search results when you enter a full exact non-ambiguous address? For example, if I enter the address

    "12301 W Sunrise Blvd, Plantation, FL 33323"

    I get the following results:

    12301 W Sunrise Blvd <--- this is the only correct match
    Plantation, FL

    Sunrise Blvd
    Plantation, FL

    Plantation Baptist Church
    11700 NW 28th ct, Sunrise

    Sunrise Collision Inc.
    1384 NW 65th Ave. Plantation

    12301 W Sunrise Blvd
    Sunrise, FL

    Why show anything other than the 1st result? The other results aren't matches at all! That only makes you question what you entered, and then angers you when you see that what you entered was actually correct and there was no discrepancy.

    Please, if you really really think that is a useful feature, at least please add a switch to turn it off. Otherwise just get rid of those results whenever there is no discrepancy. There is absolutely no need to see those irrelevant mismatched results.

11. Easier way to log off and how to delete old addresses

    I HATE the new Waze.

    How do I log off besides powering off my phone?

    Also, how do you delete addresses you don’t want anymore?

12. avoid a specific part of the road or highway

    I live just outside Milan and when I have to go further east, all navigators insist on taking the Brebemi motorway, which unfortunately is a very expensive toll road and does not save time. An option that allows you to say once and for all "Avoid that highway forever" or "Avoid part of the route" would be useful. it is not enough to set avoid highways, because it makes me avoid all highways, I just want to avoid one or more highways that I specify.

13. search favourites function

    It would be good to be able to perform a search/filter function for your saved favourites. If you have 30+ saved favourites it can be quite difficult to find what you want, a quick search function would be good I think.

15. Add new saved place

    Adding new saved place works horribly. This feature should be available on long tap, as context menu. Now one has to search place by name, but guess what, not all places are available by name.Google maps implements this feature very nicely. Saved places should by displayable on the map. As a general idea, the UI looks very crippled compare to Google maps.

16. App EXIT button

    You have hidden the App Exit button. It is not intuitive. Clearly no user testing was done. It is pretty frustrating to use this App right now

17. See location of event posted in timeline of navigation .

    Can you guys add a feature where in the timeline if you see an event such as crash,traffic,police if you click on the icon in the time line it will show you what milepost or the location of the event. So if there is a crash in your trip timeline If you click on the event it would show you where during your trip you will encounter that event. As of right now we have to scroll through the map in order to see upcoming events seen in the timeline.

18. Add voice message to Update Request to reduce time reporting map errors to car drivers.

    Currently there is only text comment option which restricts the driver from adding details to the UR. Adding voice message could help to waze editor getting more specific information and minimize message asking additional information.

    This functionality improve URs resolution statistics.

    Hola les digo que se tarda mucho en empezar a navegar , no inicio l ruta en cuanto ya sabes a dónde ir , tienes que dar varios clicks para apresurarlo y no puedes distraerte más de 2 segundos
