Allow the ability to specify the location of a report.
When reporting an issue, crash, traffic jam, fire, Police activity, the system only gives you the option to report on the road you are on. So for example, if you are at an interchange where you can see the activity on a highway or interstate, but you are not on that road, you can't actually report it properly. Maybe it can be set up that you make a report, and like in google maps, you have a pin dropped on the map that you can move to the correct location, if where you are is not the location of the activity. Example: look at Cromwell Park Drive, Glen Burnie, MD on google maps. You will see that there is an interchange where I-97 passes by. You can see the activity on the highway, even if you are not on it.

Have a report(like a press article), about accidents encountered on our trip, once engine off
the goal is to don't slow the traffic nearly the accident zone by curious people -

It would be good if you could report a hazard where there is no data signal then waze send the report as soon as data is available this is very useful where traffic issues occur in poor signal areas

We should be able to backtrack on the road we are on just as we can pan ahead to mark missed hazards or other reports. For example running over road debris unseen won't help if we can't go back and mark the area when we're down the road another 1/4 mile past it.

I agree !
Allowing users to "pin drop" a certain distance along their route would be better than inaccuracy or, in some cases, missing the chance to report it entirely.
Don't want to be messing around with my phone as I pass a cop, or other hazard. I haven't been able to actually use the app to report much because by the time I have Waze up, I'm already too far down the road to report things accurately.
This is a vital feature ! -

I would be good to attach it to a JUNCTION. So when you have 4/5 streets going into an intersection, and each driver reports one report it's kinda problem. It should be just one.

Allow users to contribute without necessarily being at the coordinates informing closed streets, periodic events.
Carnival in Brazil with some streets can be closed. The city of Rio de Janeiro adopts Waze and report in Waze when great events works, but the user can contribute in a more limited platform in the mobile client, without using the full map editor.
Events are common as street fairs, marched, parties, rallies, strikes...

Sometimes you write an address but you know that the indicator is in other number of the same street. It would be nice if you can move the indicator to the correct place as in Google Maps

This would be so useful. I could see a hazard causing numerous roadblocks but my report was useless as I wasn't yet at that road.

When travelling up a hill through a new hazard like river of mud running down I want to report it but I have to wait till i am past the hazard because I'm trying to keep car on the road. Specifying a location when reporting would be nice but Waze should require that you have gone down that route (5 min or less) to avoid false reporting.

To allow point choice from previous travel to input closures, hazards etc. when poor service hindered ability to add incidents earlier.
Example: mountain road closure - unable to add road closure because of poor service until at the base of the mountain.
Solution - for similar situations, manual point input, choose location in order to provide more accurate reporting where long back roads and mountains roads particularly after and during storms are more accurately updated.

Why the fuck is this not a built in feature as default seems common sense to me.

EVERY time I have seen a cop I haven't used the feature because I'm a mile away by the time I report. Then the report is inaccurate and useless for everyone else. If your worried about people abusing it then only allow someone to report and pin drop something within 1/5mile

I really think Waze is limited intuitively by not offering this feature.
Think about it: There are many times that accidents will close roads, or that you as as driver are able to spontaneously take an alternate route once you see the accident up ahead. In other words, your car may not be traveling through the accident point but you still want to report it.
Not having the ability to report an incident "from afar" results in less reports, which makes the app less accurate.

Hell yes if theirs one thing that aggravates me about this app it's this. It's not only a safety issue as I'm not a fan of using my phone while driving. But also I listen to my police scanner app quite often as well and have heard on numerous occasions fire and rescue in route to the scene of an injury accident somewhere in my city of Omaha Ne and have no way of reporting this please fix
