Realistic City "Look"
I would like to suggest a new feature for Waze called “Enhanced City Navigation.”
In major cities, Waze could provide a more detailed navigation experience similar to the advanced city navigation features offered by other mapping platforms, while remaining focused on driving.
Possible features could include:
● Realistic 3D landmarks and major buildings to help drivers orient themselves.
● Enhanced lane guidance showing exactly which lanes drivers should use far in advance.
● Improved visualization of complex interchanges, tunnels, stacked roadways, and multi-level highways.
● More detailed guidance for city centers with closely spaced turns.
● Visual highlighting of parking garages, pickup/drop-off areas, and building entrances.
● Better navigation through dense downtown districts where GPS signals can be difficult to follow.
● Community-reported navigation improvements integrated into the enhanced city experience.
Unlike a sightseeing feature, this would focus entirely on helping drivers navigate complicated urban environments more confidently and safely.
Potential cities could include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Tokyo, Paris, Nashville, Denver, Milwaukee, Phoenix, and other major metropolitan areas.
This feature could make Waze even more useful for drivers in dense urban areas while maintaining its core focus on real-time traffic and navigation.I would like to suggest a new feature for Waze called “Enhanced City Navigation.”

Suggestion: Introduce Dimension‑Based Vehicle Restrictions for Japan and Asia
Hello Waze Team,
There is a fundamental difference between how road restrictions are represented in Western countries and in Asia.
In many Western regions, vehicle types and Passes are sufficient to represent most restrictions.
However, in Japan and other parts of Asia, many restrictions are based on physical vehicle dimensions rather than vehicle categories. In Japan, the following restrictions are especially common:
Height limits
Width limits
Weight limits
These cannot be fully represented by vehicle type categories or Passes alone.
Additionally, many incidents involving large vehicles getting stuck are caused by the length of the vehicle.
If Waze could also handle vehicle length, support for trucks and large vehicles would improve significantly. For these reasons, allowing roads to be configured with height, width, weight, and length,
and enabling users to input their vehicle dimensions in the app,
would provide a more stable and globally consistent solution while also addressing the unique road conditions in Asia.I hope this issue can be an opportunity to consider introducing a dimension‑based restriction model.

Weather Overlay
It would be lovely to have some type of weather overlay. Recently returning from vacation, my husband was trying to determine where we were compared to the navigation to see when we would be moving out of the rain (it was a long time!). Or, just that heavy <weather> is in the area and we will be out of it in...whatever time. That would allow drivers the option to pull off the highway to safety if it's going to be a while.

Add Height Restriction Warning for NLEX Underpass in Brgy. Sipat, Plaridel, Bulacan
Location: 14.900393, 120.824190
There is a low-clearance NLEX underpass located in Barangay Sipat, Plaridel, Bulacan, Philippines. The measured vertical clearance is only approximately 2.70–2.77 meters.
Waze currently routes trucks and oversized vehicles through this road segment. Many drivers are unaware of the height restriction and only discover it upon reaching the underpass. Since there is limited or no turnaround area nearby, these incidents frequently result in traffic congestion and disruption to local traffic.
We respectfully request that this location be reviewed and that a height restriction warning or routing restriction for oversized vehicles be considered to improve road safety and traffic flow.
For supporting photographs and additional information can be provided if needed, please email us through: mpdoplaridelbulacan@gmail.com

Option to disable the turn by turn
I just got started using Waze today to check it out. I’ve notice when I put the destination in. The cluster screen has to many icons around the map. It would be nice to have an option to disable individual icons to match the user preferences or at least have a map view only with speedometer on it.

Speedometer Discrepancy
A feature that allows users to add "speed" to Waze could be cool.
When i drive at, for example, 63km/h, Waze shows me that im doing 60km/h.
It helps with the alerts for going above the speed limit more accurate.
Just a simple option to add 1km/h, 2, 3, etc.. it will also depend on the device, there can be a 5km discrepancy, 10km and so on.

Add vehicle emission standard (Euro 1–6) to enable routing that avoids LEZ/ULEZ/Oxigen zones.
Waze currently does not support routing based on vehicle emission standards (Euro 1–6), which makes it impossible for the app to avoid Low Emission Zones (LEZ), Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ), or local environmental tax areas such as the “Oxigen” zone in Bucharest. I propose adding a new setting under Vehicle Type where users can select their vehicle’s emission standard (Euro 1, Euro 2, Euro 3, Euro 4, Euro 5, Euro 6, Euro 6d, Hybrid, Electric). This would allow Waze to:
• automatically avoid restricted zones based on the selected emission class
• warn users before entering a zone where access is forbidden or taxed
• offer alternative routes outside restricted areas
• optionally provide a link to pay the required tax (if applicable).
This feature is increasingly necessary as many European cities enforce emission‑based restrictions. Without this functionality, Waze may route drivers into areas where they risk fines. Implementing this would significantly improve routing accuracy and user safety in cities with environmental regulations.Waze currently does not support routing based on vehicle emission standards (Euro 1–6), which makes it impossible for the app to avoid Low Emission Zones (LEZ), Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ), or local environmental tax areas such as the “Oxigen” zone in Bucharest. Feature Request: Secondary Display / HUD Support for Mazda (CarPlay & Android Auto)
Hi Waze Team,
I am a frequent Waze user driving a Mazda CX-30. I love the community alerts and real-time hazard reporting, but I am disappointed that Waze does not support turn-by-turn directions on my vehicle's secondary displays—specifically the Active Driving Display (Heads-Up Display) and the digital instrument cluster.
Both Google Maps and Apple Maps fully support this feature on Mazda's infotainment system via CarPlay and Android Auto. Because Waze lacks this integration, I am often forced to switch to competitor apps just so I can keep my eyes safely on the road while navigating.
Please consider implementing dual-screen / HUD API support in a future software update so Mazda owners can get the full Waze experience right on their windshields.
Thank you!
