1. Request to Create an Official Georgian (Georgia) Waze Community

   Hello Waze Team and Community,

   I would like to kindly request the creation of an official Georgian (Georgia) Waze community and forum section.

   Currently, there is no dedicated Georgian Waze community or local forum. As a result, Georgia does not have active local editors who can regularly review, approve, or manage map edits. This causes many map issues, delayed updates, and incorrect information to remain unresolved for a long time.

   There are editors who edit the region partially or irregularly, but there is no active local Georgian editor who can coordinate improvements, support new editors, or maintain map quality consistently.

   Creating an official Georgian community would:
   • Help organize and support local editors
   • Improve communication and coordination
   • Speed up map updates and approvals
   • Significantly improve map accuracy and navigation quality in Georgia

   Since a Georgian forum does not exist, I am posting this request in the global forum.

   Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I truly believe that an official Georgian Waze community would greatly benefit both users and the platform.

2. Option to display MILE MARKERS on interstates.

   Please add an option to display mile markers on the map when traveling interstates. Some locations like rest areas are already defined by mile markers within Waze, and the data is already available on the back end so it shouldn’t be difficult to implement. It could be optional and off by default. But it absolutely helps road safety by being able to accurately report emergencies by way of mile marker designations on open stretches of interstate. Also very useful to professional drivers.

3. Feature Suggestion: Truck & Travel Trailer Routing Mode.

   Hi Waze team! It would be incredibly helpful to add a dedicated routing option for trucks towing travel trailers. This feature could generate safe routes that account for:
   - 🚫 Avoiding sharp or narrow right turns
   - 🚧 Identifying height restrictions and bridge clearances
   - 🛑 Bypassing roads with trailer or truck limitations
   This would go a long way in improving safety and convenience for recreational drivers and towing vehicles. Thanks for considering!

4. Set Waze as default iOS navigation app [iOS 18.4/EU only]

   In the EU, Apple has finally made it possible to set a default navigation app in iOS 18.4.

   Unfortunately, Waze has not yet implemented this feature.

   You can find the new option in iOS 18.4 under Settings -> Apps -> Default apps -> Navigation

   It would be really great to finally have the option on iOS to open addresses directly without having to copy and paste them manually into Waze, for example.

5. Bring back Friends feature

   Friends feature was a great feature and we would like to get it back. As mentioned on multiple conferences it was a "thing" in Waze which was diffenret in Waze app, it was something close to gamification and it was bringing users to the app.

    הקטע שבין צומת הערבה לצומת קטורה בכביש 90, באורך של כ-120 ק"מ, נחשב לאחד הקטעים המסוכנים בישראל. מרבית הדרך חד-נתיבית לכל כיוון, ללא אפשרות עקיפה בטוחה – וזה יוצר לחץ, נהיגה תוקפנית ומצבים מסכני חיים על בסיס יומי.
    בין השנים 2000 ל-2020 נהרגו בכביש הערבה כולו 81 בני אדם, כאשר חלק גדול מהתאונות נגרמות עקב עקיפות מסוכנות בקטעים שאינם מאפשרים עקיפה בטוחה.

    Countdown to Safe Overtaking on Highway 90 (Arava Road)
    The Problem:
    The section between Arava Junction and Ketura Junction on Highway 90, approximately 120 km long, is considered one of the most dangerous stretches of road in Israel. Most of the road is a single lane in each direction, without safe overtaking options – leading to pressure, aggressive driving, and daily life-threatening situations.
    Between 2000 and 2020, 81 people were killed on the Arava section of Highway 90, many of them in accidents caused by dangerous overtaking where no safe passing zones were available.
    A Life-Saving Feature Suggestion:
    Waze could add a smart alert – a timer on the side of the screen or a visual/audio notification – that informs drivers about the next upcoming safe overtaking section:
    🕒 "In 2.4 km – Two-lane road ahead for safe overtaking"
    ⏳ "Wait 90 seconds – Safe passing zone approaching"
    Why it matters:
    • Studies in psychology and transportation show that when people lack visibility or control, especially on monotonous roads with no clear overtaking options, their frustration and risk-taking behavior increase.
    • Research also shows that when drivers know how long they need to wait, patience rises, and impulsiveness drops. This principle is successfully used in countdown timers at crosswalks, traffic lights, and public transit – and could be just as effective in driving apps.
    Bottom line:
    A small feature. A massive impact.
    On a road where dozens have lost their lives – even a small shift in driver behavior could save lives.

12. Squares highlighted in green on the map

    At the moment, squares don’t have green highlights on the map, which contradicts reality — in the editor, they only appear green on the map if we mark the location as a park. My suggestion is that squares should also appear highlighted in green on the map, providing a better visual experience and making it easier for users to find green spaces for leisure in their daily lives.

15. Request for Satellite Map View in Waze

    Hello Waze Support Team,

    I’m writing to request that Waze add an option to view the map in satellite mode. The app currently only shows the default map style, and having a satellite view would be very helpful for navigation and for recognizing locations more accurately.

    Many navigation apps offer both standard and satellite map modes, and I believe this feature would greatly improve the user experience in Waze.

16. Make the electric car pop-up optional

    The electric car pop up shows every time I am putting in an address to go to. I don’t have an electric car and many others don’t as well. This pop-up should be removed and put under settings a person with an electric car can turn that feature on.

17. Add Navigard traffic control [ITALY]

    Since Januarry 1st, 2026 the highway system in Italy added a new trafic control system called NAVIGARD.
    As affected routes are public, would be super usefull to have it as a new alert type in WAZE.

    Hello,

    Request the implementation of an Alert Feature in the application that provides an immediate audio and visual warning on the map if the system detects the vehicle is traveling the wrong way on a One-Way Street.

20. turn by turn notification on in-car instrument cluster display

    On my BMW 5 series (OS8.5) and CarPlay with iOS26, turn by turn notification/guidance that appears in instrument cluster is way too big, covering the route ahead which I need to drive. It is very difficult to see what is in front of me and in that case I need to look at the large display, which is not that safe especially when you need to turn. It would be much nicer to have this window moved underneath the car arrow instead of ETA window. ETA window in instrument cluster is not essential information and I could live without it, easily.

    A option in settings "Show guidance below car icon/arrow" will give users freedom of choice depending on their car display and implementation.

    Alternatively, move car arrow to the bottom edge of display if possible.

    On my BMW 5 series (OS8.5) and CarPlay with iOS26, turn by turn notification/guidance that appears in instrument cluster is way too big, covering the route ahead which I need to drive. It is very difficult to see what is in front of me and in that case I need to look at the large display, which is not that safe especially when you need to turn.
