   Prezado time de desenvolvedores e responsáveis pelo Waze,
   ​Como um motorista que utiliza o Waze todos os dias na cidade de São Paulo, gostaria de sugerir algumas melhorias para tornar a experiência do usuário mais agradável e menos cansativa, especialmente para quem passa muitas horas dirigindo.
   ​Sugestão de Temas Personalizáveis
   ​A interface atual do Waze, com as mesmas cores e design há anos, pode se tornar monótona para motoristas profissionais. Sugiro a implementação de uma função com, pelo menos, cinco temas visuais diferentes. Um desses temas poderia ser inspirado no estilo "All Black", utilizando tons de preto, branco e cinza, que seriam ideais para reduzir a fadiga visual, especialmente durante a noite. Essa personalização permitiria aos usuários escolher uma interface que melhor se adapte a seu gosto e às condições de luz.
   ​Ajuste de DPI (Densidade de Pixels)
   ​Outra funcionalidade que seria muito bem-vinda é a possibilidade de ajustar a DPI (densidade de pixels) dentro do aplicativo. Isso permitiria que cada usuário pudesse controlar o tamanho dos elementos da interface, como ícones e textos. A capacidade de aumentar ou diminuir esses elementos seria extremamente útil para melhorar a visibilidade e a usabilidade para todos os tipos de motoristas.

3. Speed is not readable that small. Also put the bloody sign into the box for speed camera so i can finally see the limit!

   Need the sign with the number in the box for speed alert box!! So many times i dont know the limit and the alert doesn't help at all!! Use the space that box is massive! Put the sign in it.

4. Allow placing a destination pin on the phone while connected to CarPlay

   Hi Waze team,

   I’m a long-time Wazer (5+ years), and I truly appreciate the app. However, I’d like to share some frustrating limitation:

   It’s much harder and slower to move around the map and select a custom point on the car screen. On the phone, it takes seconds. Many times I don’t know the exact address — I just want to navigate to a specific point on the map (e.g. a parking spot or entrance nearby). But CarPlay disables this. I have to disconnect CarPlay, set the destination, and reconnect — very inconvenient.

5. Speed Limit indicators on map

   It would add to safer driving to have speed limit changes show up as standard indicators on the map while driving, meaning seeing them approach just like any other indicator on the map.

   Current issues/reasons:
   1. In South Africa we have many areas where the speed limit road signs are missing. I count four that are missing on my daily route alone, and this is extremely dangerous with frequent sudden braking necessary immediately after realizing the speed limit has changed without prior notice.
   2. There are often speed cameras directly after a speed limit change, which is a nice little dirty trick used by our often-corrupt traffic department officers, with lots of easy to find dashcam footage online to attest to just this one issue.
   3. Better preparation for speed transitions - Advanced warning allows drivers to gradually adjust speed rather than making abrupt changes, which reduces the risk of rear-end collisions from following vehicles.
   4. Unfamiliar route safety - When driving in new areas, drivers may not know local speed limit patterns and could easily miss changes, especially when traffic signs are missing. This is especially important for tourists or business travelers.
   5. Night driving visibility - Speed limit signs can be harder to spot in low-light conditions, while the navigation display remains clearly visible.
   6. Weather-related visibility - During rain, fog, or other weather conditions that reduce visibility, physical signs may be obscured while the digital display remains clear.
   7. Standardized information - Eliminates confusion from damaged, faded, or vandalized speed limit signs that may be difficult to read accurately. Additionally, it is much easier to follow the navigation map when speed limit information is displayed in the familiar indicator format that drivers are already accustomed to using.

   This has previously been suggested very long ago (https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/10519629-speed-limit-indication-on-map), but without much motivation given. The response of the Waze Team was not helpful, as the issues were not addressed. Since this is a safety issue more than a nice-to-have feature (at least in my country), I believe it requires more attention from the developers.

10. Improve the Android Automotive version.

    I would like the Waze version for Android Automotive to be as good as the mobile version, in addition to adding some options that are necessary while driving.

    1-In the Android Automotive version, the radar alerts do not emit any sound, making it completely useless, as you won't be looking at the screen continuously while driving.

    Moreover, the other alerts only emit a notification sound, and when it sounds, you have to look at the screen to know what danger is approaching, diverting your attention from the road.

    All alerts should be like in the mobile version, with a voice announcing what danger is coming.

    2-It would be great to have all the options available in the mobile version, without needing to use the mobile phone to change some settings.

    3-It would be wonderful to see the map, directions, and alerts on the cockpit screen behind the steering wheel, and to have the directions and alerts displayed on the heads-up display.

    With these changes, Waze for Android Automotive would be something fantastic, just like it already is in the mobile version.

11. Proyecto para disminuir el riesgo de accidente vial en ciclistas

    Cordial saludo, somos parte de un grupo de investigación académico de la universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, que trabajamos en un proyecto para disminuir el riesgo de accidentalidad vial en ciclistas, en el proceso hemos desarrollado una aplicación y un dispositivo portable para ciclistas competitivos, el cual obtiene la ubicación en tiempo real y envía a un servidor para luego crear una alerta a los conductores cuando se acercan al ciclista. nuestra propuesta es brindar estos datos para que en el aplicativo de Waze se generen notificaciones o alertas cuando se acerque a un ciclista que se encuentra entrenando en la autopista, con el objetivo de que el conductor este precavido y se disminuya el riesgo de accidentalidad debido a baja visibilidad, alta velocidad o distracción del conductor.     Itilisant Waze sur deux voitures rapides et une violette ancêtre qui fait du 90km/h l apprentissage automatique par Waze de la vitesse ne fonctionne pas, il faudrait pouvoir indiquer la vitesse max de son véhicule pour avoir les horaires d arrivées correctes, et pouvoir obtenir de meilleurs itinéraires, très utiles pour camping cars caravanes etc

13. CarPlay (iOS 26) – unable to select destination suggestions when searching

    Hello,
    after updating to iOS 26, the destination suggestions in Waze on CarPlay stopped working.
    The suggestions appear when typing, but they cannot be selected. I always have to type the full address and press search.
    Before iOS 26 this worked fine, and it was safer than typing the whole address.
    Please fix this issue. Thank you.

14. Activate voice input when report button is pushed in Android Auto/Carplay or phone app

    I would like the report button to start listening for voice prompts when pushed on the phone or android auto/carplay. I use Google Assistant for most reports and by the time I say “Ok Google” then wait for the prompt, then use voice reporting the pin is dropped significantly beyond what I was trying to report. Fumbling around with android auto to find the correct category is less safe and less direct than voice reporting and I usually end up hitting the wrong category.

    Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are two of today's most widely used buzzwords in the cutting-edge technological scene. While they're sometimes used interchangeably, they're respective but related areas. AI is the general term that refers to developing systems that can carry out tasks that would otherwise need human intelligence, while machine learning refers to a subset of AI that enables systems to learn from data and get better over time without being specifically programmed. It's important for students, professionals, and organizations to understand the difference between AI and ML because it determines how they can effectively use the power of intelligent systems.

    Artificial Intelligence is the general field that seeks to create machines that are capable of simulating human intelligence. It entails developing systems that are able to execute tasks like reasoning, learning, problem-solving, perception, and even comprehension of language. The theory of AI began in the 1950s when scientists were interested in the idea of developing machines that would be capable of "thinking" like humans. AI has two forms: narrow AI and general AI. Narrow AI or weak AI is tailored to some task, for example, voice detection or face recognition. They are extremely effective at what they have been designed to do but are bound to that. General AI is programmed to mimic human-level intellects so that machines can carry out any cognitive task that a human can accomplish. General AI is currently a theoretical idea and has yet to be realized.

    The other principal difference is in the manner of approaching and solving tasks. Classical AI systems may employ hard-coded rules and decision trees to carry out tasks. For instance, a chess AI built by employing rule-based AI would receive a set of instructions on how to make moves based on certain game conditions. Conversely, a machine learning-based chess program would learn from thousands of games, discovering which moves work best in various situations through no explicit programming. It is this learning and adaptability that makes ML-based systems distinct from traditional AI.

    Additionally, the development process of AI and ML systems also varies considerably. Constructing a classical AI system tends to include writing out logic and rules explicitly, which is time-consuming and less flexible. Constructing an ML model takes gathering and preparing data, choosing an appropriate algorithm, training the model with the data, and testing and tuning it based on performance. As the ML model receives more data, it gets better and better, while rule-based AI systems do not evolve unless updated manually.

    For practical applications, both AI and ML have been used extensively, but the latter has taken on more significance in recent times because of its scalability and efficacy with big data. AI is the general objective of developing intelligent machines that can simulate human actions, whereas ML is a technique used to accomplish this objective by enabling machines to learn from experience. Comprehending this divergence is critical for understanding how smart technologies are created and utilized across different industries. 19. Don’t change the route automatically during trip navigation

    I don’t want Waze to change the route automatically without my permission after I chose at the beginning. It happens I choose a ruote and then, just for avoiding few minutes of traffic, I have to pay more highway and more fuel for longer route. I want Waze ask for me permission to change, despite a simple pop up “better route found” in which I can only choose yes, and if I don’t reply yes (of course I m driving) Waze change it automatically. Please make a pop up where if I dont say “yes change route” the route is not changed automatically. Otherwise why I chose at the beginning if the route is changed without my permission? Thanks

20. Waze is not for trucks!

    When user installs Waze for the first time, a kind of pop-up or something similar, clearly shows that Waze is not for truck drivers.

    Every day we receive complaints about bad routes for trucks and we need to explain that Waze is not for them.
