Simplify ability to mark roads as closed
There is a road closure near me which is not currently shown on Waze and Waze therefore keeps trying to route through this closure. I know it is there so why am I not able to simply mark a road as closed anywhere (ie not just when I am on a route)? Otherwise people will keep being routed towards a closure and the last thing they are thinking of when they are having to turn around and go a different way is to inform Waze about the closure. Seems such a simple fix and if you are worried about it…

Better head-up-display directions at roundabout
The head-up-display shows directions through waze in my VW ID.7. At roundabouts it shows an arrow, instead of (part of) a roundabout with which exit to take.

Show an active compass on the map
Make the compass active, showing direction at all times with reference to North.

satellite roads
I do understand the possible changes behind the scenes of the app but i honestly believe satellite roads is safer and more efficient for drivers as it provides a clearer view of the roads being driven on and not confusing drivers as it is confusing with cartoonish roads that nearly blend in together making it hard to understand which roads to take especially on highways. I have personally experienced not only myself but also seen other users of Waze experience missing exits and nearly and actually getting on to wrong exits because of the confusing “cartoonish” Waze maps. Good afternoon, I wanted to suggest streamlining the Waze system. In light of recent truck crashes on bridges, I would enter a figure for the maximum height of all bridges, so that before each trip, the truck driver would have to measure the maximum height and enter the figure into the Waze system, and the system would automatically navigate the driver to the road with the bridge at the appropriate height. This would save on accidents and, God forbid, loss of life.

Don't show "Continue Straight" until shortly before it's needed
Showing a continue straight as next turn hundreds of km before it's reached is annoying. I'd like to know what my actual next turn is. While it can be useful in many situations it's not needed until shortly before you reach it.
I suggest only display in app when the first prompt for it is announced.
Example:
In the example, I'm already on I-95 N. I don't need to know that in 76 miles I need to continue on I-95 (it actually started displaying about 200 miles before)

Signalements concernant les animaux

Report potholes to local authorities
Add a “pothole” option in the hazard report menu.
Link Waze pothole reports directly to council maintenance systems.
Allow drivers to attach photos to pothole reports.
Push alerts to councils when the same pothole is flagged multiple times.
Encourage councils to join the free Waze for Cities program.
Let community groups track potholes via Waze groups.
Share Waze report data with existing “Report a Problem” council apps.
Show repair progress on Waze once councils act.
Reward frequent, accurate pothole reporters with points or badges.

Warning distances able to adjust
I would like to have the option to adjust de distance for warnings of police,speed camaras..etc.
The standar setting is 500m before the point.
I would like to have the option to increase the distance from 500m to 1000m for example.4 votes -
Speed limit icon too small and it would be better on the left-hand side of the screen
I love ways, but these speed limit I got is too small and it would be better on the top left hand side of the screen better for visibility especially when you’re using Waze on your screen of the car

Different Category for Tram and Train
If you living in a city with a tram system you have a lot of warning crossing a tram line. It would be better to have different categories for this warning for tram and trains.

Lower Waze's Age Rating on Apple App Store
Hello Waze Support Team,
I'm writing to suggest that you consider lowering Waze's age rating on the Apple App Store. Currently, Waze is rated 17+, while Google Maps is rated 4+.
Many young drivers and passengers could benefit from using Waze's features, such as real-time traffic updates and hazard alerts. A lower age rating would make the app more accessible to this demographic.
Could you please provide some insight into why the app has a 17+ rating and if there are any plans to re-evaluate it?
