can you please make the "auto-centering" optional. It is really annoying to have it auto-center when I am looking at something else.

Music and Waze
It would be amazing if you could link spotify, itunes or any other music app inside your waze. So you can easily switch songs in waze without leaving it. I would develop this myself if I wrote apps.. but I don't.

auto complete on address search
When searching Google maps, entering the first few characters of an address offer suggestions.
Make it the same in waze, much better usability, especially when in a hurry to start driving

Sound Alert in LOCKED phone
I think Waze could enable an option to be able to keep warning (Radar, Hazards, Accident, Police, Heavy Traffic, etc) even when phone is LOCKED. When I lock my Android 4.3.1 it doesn't alert anything.

Navigating voice in Norwegian
We need more languages in waze for use with navigating. Norwegian is one of my wishes.

alerts without scrolling
The alert system is great, but when you're driving it would be easier to see all buttons on the same screen, with no need for scrolling. When you need to scroll the list to see all icons it makes you lose attention to the road.
Would it be too difficult to add all kind of alerts on the same window?6 votes -

Mph and metres for directions.
It’s very simple. Two toggle options. To change the speed unit to mph for the speed limit but be able to keep the directions in metres for those shorter turnings and directions in town. In England we use mph and how many miles to but after that we commonly talk about metres. So I am asking for another option so that people can customise the speed limit alerts and the distance to alerts.

Ojalá que en la próxima actualización se pueda mantener nuevamente en primer plano WAZE al momento de realizar ó recibir una llamada telefónica, esa opción ahora no está y era bien útil, ya que la llamada no interferia al momento de visualizar la pantalla porque ese se mantenía siempre a la vista y la conversacion era por intermedio de altavoz, ahora cuando uno está hablando la pantalla se va a ahorro de energía y se a apaga, se agradecería volvieran a incorporar esa opción. Personal speed limit for electric cars
As I recently done 800 miles with my zoe, I found that the fastest route is not actual fast.
Generally, best range can be achieved by keeping speed around 56 mph at motorway for an electric car.However, route optimisation has been done based on the top speed of the route unless there is a traffic.
Therefore, if we can have personalised top speed, we might different route.
5 votesGreat news! This feature is already available in Waze. It’s called Personalized ETA.
Personalized ETA setting is turned on in Settings – Navigation – Personalized ETA. Waze would analyze the drives you took in the past, calculate how long it took you to drive sections of the route, and compare this information with Waze’s estimates. Then, it uses this info to personalize your ETA whenever you search a route in Waze.
Important: Waze won’t analyze drives that you delete from your drive history. Deleting drives may disable Waze from personalizing your ETA until you take more drives.

Add favourite song button on players (spotify/tidal/youtube ect.)
In music apps we have got 3 buttons (left play/pause and right). I propose to add button "add to favourite (heart)" There are a lot of situations when you are driving, some random playlist is playing and one of the songs is so good you wanna add it to your favs - now you need to stop, switch to music app, add to fav and go back on road.

Adding link to OBD2 Bluetooth transmitter which provides speed data info. Combing this with a gyroscope allow navigation in tunnels.

Apple Car Play Issue
I love the Apple CarPlay feature. The only issue I have is the black search/favorites/voice bar doesn’t disappear as it does in Google maps. It takes up valuable map space. Could you please, in a future update, create a disappearing black bar after map is up? Thank you.

Background version of waze to voice alert on speed cameras when routing suggestions is not needed
In most of the cases you know the driving route and you don't need waze for suggesting routes. but it's very helpfull to get voice alert on speed cameras on the way.
I suggest to take that feature in waze and make it a standallone version that runs in the background (without the need to open it, or to display path, progress etc' which is battery consuming).5 votesYou can turn Waze to Alerts Only mode and keep app in the background – audio notifications about upcoming alerts will be provided.

Speed before sharp curves or in rough weather
Alert when a user drive to fast before curve in the road or a coming intersection.

Update Waze so it works with AppleCarPlay. CarPlay allows phone apps to be displayed safely on the car's internal screen, so why not Waze?
