Blitzer- und Gefahrenmeldungen
In vielen Städten wie Wuppertal veröffentlichen die Behörden wöchentlich Pläne, auf denen die Standorte mobiler Blitzer von Montag bis Freitag angekündigt werden. Mein Vorschlag ist, dass Waze diese offiziellen Daten automatisch integriert, um Nutzer:innen proaktiv zu warnen.
Vorteile:
- Höhere Genauigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit der Blitzerwarnungen durch offizielle Quellen.
- Zeitersparnis für Nutzer:innen, die Blitzer nicht manuell melden müssen.
- Bessere Verkehrssicherheit durch präzise Vorabinformationen.Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten:
1. Kooperation mit Städten, um digitale Pläne (z.B. via API) einzubinden.
2. Automatische Markierung der betroffenen Straßen mit Hinweisen wie:
„Hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit für mobilen Blitzer (Quelle: Stadt Wuppertal)“.Hinweis:

Add some ai smarts to Waze in its route planning concerning road steepness and car loading condition
I had to drive over Homestake Pass (an engine and transmission destroyer) in Montana while driving an old and overloaded car in July 2023. Your navigation program needs to have alternative routes built into it to choose from that are easier on a vehicle. I suggest you build that into the route planning. Use embedded AI if need be. If your software could ask the age and condition of the vehicle, it could using that information, suggest less troublesome routes. Am fortunate to be able to improvise. Would like to be able to select the width of my car as in London there are lots of routes that have bollards that are very tight and. i don't like driving down them in my car. also if a road is closed i cant then mark it as closed so it will reroute me

Quería sugerir una mejora para la app que creo que muchos usuarios agradeceríamos. Me refiero al indicador de la velocidad máxima permitida en la vía (la señal con el número en la esquina de la pantalla).
Actualmente ese número es bastante pequeño y, en la práctica, cuesta verlo mientras se conduce, sobre todo con el sol, en pantallas pequeñas o si el móvil no está muy cerca.

Guidance
I used the option to change the voice prompt interval. I unfortunately changed it from the initial settings by adding more frequent voice turn intervals. I overdid it and it is very annoying due to the long muting of my radio on every instruction. I wanted to change it back to only two guidance prompts like 1 km and 200 meters, but the function is not available anymore.

Traffic Alerts
Give drivers the option to manually enter a traffic incident ( police, speed camera etc) on the map rather than only allowing the them to report an incident on their tracking location. This can allow a driver to go a different direction or go past an incident and still enter an alert accurately for other drivers. Also allow an option for speed camera alone, because it is difficult to differentiate from police or a speed trap.

Have users rate the condition of the railway crossing afterwards. Keep data on all crossings to identify
Ever go over one of those railway crossings and think, "What the **** did I just go over?" All over the country, cars have to cross some of the most poorly maintained crossings, putting not only their vehicles at risk but could cause loss of life if one goes over it too quickly without realizing the mess they are in. Emergencies vehicles in actions
My suggestion is to add a “special” feature and has to be developed carefully: to have in clear in the waze map the warning about trip position of “emergency cars in action”
I mean: for police, ambulance, fire truck,… only when in action (sirens on and flashing lights on) a “red flashing dot” appears in the Waze map during their route
Me, as car driver, can be informed about it and modify my actions in order not to hinder their actions and to give them space
