  1. Display map on phone while connected to Android Auto (AA)

Since a few days ago, Waze no longer shows the map navigation on the phone screen but only the turn-by-turn navigation.

The problem with this is, my car's built-in AA could never run Waze. The car location would always get stuck at one location.

My workaround has been to run Waze on the phone and Google Maps on the car's AA screen. This worked like a charm until last week. Right now, every time I use Waze I have to disable AA and connect my phone audio using bluetooth to the car's head unit. It's a really decluttered setup and…

  2. Delete the Stop point and continue navigating to final destination

Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove the intermediate point on the route after adding it.

This feature is very much needed.

  4. Bring back the old speedometer position (bottom left corner)

With the latest update, the speedometer on the mobile app has moved from the bottom left corner to the center of the bottom edge of the screen. This new position is distracting and interferes with map visibility, especially when checking upcoming turns or traffic info.

The previous placement in the bottom left corner was much more intuitive and out of the way. Please consider giving users the option to choose the speedometer position, or revert it back to where it was.

  5. Show Accurate Distance to Exit Inside Roundabouts

Display the actual remaining distance to the correct exit while inside the roundabout. This would help drivers better anticipate when to exit, especially in larger or multi-exit roundabouts.

When driving a roundabout, the distance to the exit is always shown as “0 m” in the current navigation display. This can be misleading, as the driver has not yet reached the exit.

Knowing how far it is to the correct exit helps reduce confusion and allows for smoother lane changes and safer navigation. Showing “0 m” before reaching the exit does not reflect the real driving experience and can lead to…

  6. Dip Permanent Hazard

It would be great to have a new category of permanent hazards for dips in the roadway. Currently, there is no appropriate category for such. Many municipalities have man-made dips to serve as a traffic calming device. On the other hand, natural dips in the roadway may be encountered by Wazers throughout their travel. Having this permanent hazard can warn Wazers of such occurrences ahead of time in order to slow down and prevent potential damage to vehicles.

Another suggestion (https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/38921404-reporting-uneven-road>) regarding uneven roads might be relevant as part of this new permanent hazard category.

  7. Additional fields in Tollbooth hazard

It would be great to add some fields to Tollbooth hazard like "name", "price" and "payment methods", so that Waze can warn (on screen and TTS) about the next toll on the Wazer route and, at least, its name and price.

Please bring back the option to report animals. Who decided to remove it? I can report gas prices at the press of a button but I can’t alert anyone to Bambi skipping across the road?

  10. Add an ICE icon for active incidents in real time

We need an option for when we see ice activities in public. Not only does all of this hold up traffic and put us behind behind of where we’re supposed to be, but we also need somebody to step up and be the heroes. Somebody with an infrastructure already in place that allows us to coordinate and work together. You’ve shown time and time again that you’re willing to step up and do what’s right, and now we need that more than ever. Please join us on the right side of history while there’s still a chance.

  11. Always choose WME items over Google Map items

A place (area or point or residential) or House number entered into Waze Map Editor should ALWYS be chosen over a Google Maps import in Waze’s Search.

This is very frustrating to users since they are often routed to the wrong location. It is also very frustrating to editors since their work to update the map is ignored.

If a person searches 123 Main St, City, State, then their search should show the 123 Main St, City, State (From WME) as the first item and not 123 Main Street, City State from Google Maps. (With 133 Main Street, City, State

  12. School districts input feed for updating their annual schedule and hours of operation changes

Since some school districts can have 85 or more zones and many states have over 20 counties ; managing the school holiday and time schedules can be a very big task.

Recommend getting a special feed set up so school districts can update them.

  13. Truck routes

    Waze dev team,

Please consider an option for drivers (Waze users) to enter in their vehicle height so that Waze can provide them with suitable routes, avoiding routes with low bridges/clearance?

This would be applicable for truck drivers, tradespeople with work vans and work equipment on roof as well as casual drivers with trailers.

Reason for this is to avoid the frequent low bridge collisions or congestion due to truck having to back out of road.

In Australia, prior to GPS maps such as Waze or Google Maps, we used to have truck edition of paper maps or map books…

  15. Treat roads with RTC as routable pedestrian path

Right now, when trying to route to a destination on a closed road, it's pretty much like the road no longer exists and Waze will route to the nearest open road.

Sometimes, this means that users will be routed somewhere completely different, like to the middle of a highway, to the other side of a raildroad track into a completely different neighbourhood, etc.

Segments with RTCs on them should be treated as a routable pedestrian path: route the driver to the closest entry point.

  19. Differentiate alternative routes from each other by color

If you display alternative routes while actively navigating/driving, they will all be displayed in the same color. It would be helpful to display each route in a different color for easy differentiation.

  20. International Land Border Wait Time Predictions

    Dear Waze Team,

I would like to suggest a feature enhancement that could significantly improve the accuracy of ETA predictions for routes involving international land borders, such as those between the USA and Canada or the USA and Mexico.

    Current Situation:
At present, it appears that Waze calculates ETA for routes involving international land borders based on general traffic data. This approach treats the border crossing as a regular segment of the journey, comparing travel times between points A and B without considering the unique delays associated with border crossings.

    Proposed Enhancement:
To provide more accurate ETAs and better routing…
