Map direction color
it would be a good idea to have a different color route where we’re taking compared to the route around us. Sometimes it’s very confusing what route we’re supposed to take. Both are usually purple . Ours should be like a cyan color compared to the routes in the map.

North up changes desperately needed
I am trying to use Waze with the map displayed in the direction I’m actually going, North Up, Because with the map always moving what is actually North to just keep my direction always going towards the top of the screen one loses all perspective on where things are. When one would read a paper map one would always keep the map north up, that way you could always learn your relative position to other places. The problem comes in, when the map is set to north up the position is always in the dead middle of the screen rather…

Indicate open lanes at a crash
When ppl indicate a crash let them indicate which lanes are kept open, it will let drivers safely move to the correct lane farther back, alleviating lanes changes close to the crash (in thicker traffic). It will also give more incentive for ppl to use Waze.

Go back to old map display
Please go back to the old map display at night. The new one is terrible to navigate.The side roads are the same color as the route you are taking as well as any adjacent waterways. It is really distracting.

U Turns displayed on map for divided highways (esp. interstates)
Display U Turns on the map for divided highways, especially interstates with the ability to enable/disable popup warnings of U Turns ahead. Sometimes police and other hazards are lurking in U Turns that have not yet been reported by other users.

Can you please add lighted intersections like google maps?
Put a traffic light icon at intersections with them like google maps. I don't like google maps but do like, and find, that feature is very helpful

Ik ben genoodzaakt om de gsm in horizontale positie te gebruiken op de moto, in horizontale stand wordt de snelheidsmeter vaak overschreven door de melding van de volgende afslag

Traffic Light Indicator
Show traffic light icons at intersections. When you are in a location that you're unfamiliar with, it helps to know if your upcoming turn is at a traffic signal or not. It is perhaps the easiest differentiator between all possible turns on roads that have traffic lights.

Decouple map display from light sensor
The current version of Android Waze always uses the information from the light sensor to display dark or light mode. My car doesn't have a light sensor (even though it is a 2023 model). Therefore, my map display is always dark, making it very hard to see in bright sunlight. Could you make it possible for users to select whether to use the information from the light sensor or not? Thank you!

Separate "Show compass" from "Always show map controls"
It is 2024-04-03 now. Some time ago the "Show compass" option disappeared from "Settings" / "Map display" / "Quick access". Now the compass is shown on the map only when "Always show map controls" is enabled. The old behavior was better. The new behavior adds unnecessary clutter.
My goal is to see an information. I have no intention on controlling the map while driving, so map controls are useless for me.
Please restore old behavior.

Scrolling at CarPlay map
When I put first letters of destination address, and want to choose right route, keyboard is enlarged and the space between keyboard block and field for typing is very small.
Will be great to add button to hide and unhide keyboard while typing destination1 vote
