Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

In the interface white text is often shown on a light blue button or background. Same goes for warnings with white text on yellow or orange background. This is too hard to read and therefor not helping traffic safety.
It would be better to use a black font color when the background or button has a light color.

I agree completely with this. The blue on black is terrible. I have to have the passenger read the navigation directions to me. Make it white on black, or customizable.

I find the blue turn description extremely hard to read during the daytime hours in bright sun wearing sunglasses. Is there any way that the font color can be adjusted?

While navigating, at the top is a black background with white and dark blue font. Seriously? Blue font on a black background? Bright day out and it's nearly impossible to read. The very best and easiest to read colors is a yellow background and black font. The font used needs to be a bit bigger also. The directions at the top can be larger that the map until you get say 1 mile from your turn then the top part should shrink and the map get larger. Who looks at the map that much while driving, they only want to know the next turn. But seriously the blue font on a black background is horrible.

CHANGE COLOR FOR TURN LEFT OR RIGHT....WHITE COLOR IS NOT GOOD

Agree. The most important information "the change in direction" has all color removed so it hard to see. There is more color in the intersecting routes I should NOT take. This is totally backwards. This update just made the app much less useful. Give me the option to undo this color change please.

This must have been changed recently because I did not have this issue before. The current color scheme during the day uses white for the next turn - this is confusing because most of the background is already white so the turn portion becomes basically invisible - the route appears to jump from one point to another. This is exacerbated by another color scheme issue - the background color of the road name is the same as the color of the route. So a road marker is purple and gets mixed in with the route which is also purple, while the upcoming turn is not visible. I've had numerous situations recently where I cannot understand the next direction due to this. VERY FRUSTRATING. Should I use Google Maps instead?

Not sure I understand all the "whys" about the color editing or lack thereof, but *something* should be possible without having to jailbreak a smartphone. With the current version, 4.30, the nighttime scheme is too light relative to outside when driving in the country. Roads (black) and land (gray?) could really stand being swapped.

Would it be possible tot add a function to edit the colors of the alert icon on the right and the speed indicator? I'm having screen burn in issues on my galaxy s7 edge because of this... I use the app daily on my motorcycle.

Great product, love it guys.
Use only white on dark background for street names. Blue on black is not easily readable.
Expand freeway road turns when 0.25 miles away, especially tangential roads
Destination address needs to appear at top of list as recently searched, when changing menus.
Fantastic work guys.

I'd love to respond to that pop-up when it comes up on my map, however the thin white text is often unreadable on the light blue background.

I must agree. I understand the value of advertising feedback and I'd love to do it. But white text on a light blue background is hard to read in the daylight - with or without sunglasses. So trying to respond when I am stopped is hard to do.

I wear distance corrective lenses sunglasses while driving which makes it hard to focus up close. The blue on black is completely unreadable with my sunglasses on.

I use WAZE in South Florida where sunglasses are not an option. I have found that the Blue lettering on a Black background is impossible to read. I suggest you replace or have the option to replace the Blue with White.

When 'Send ETA' is used, the blue mapped route turns green. People with red-green colour deficiency cannot easily differentiate certain green and red shades (of roads in the vicinity with slow-moving traffic) -- as such, it appears as if the (formerly blue) route has suddenly disappeared from screen. Would suggest to use a shade within the blue spectrum instead of green when 'Send ETA' is used. - From a user with red-green deficient vision.
