Road width restrictions
In Europe we often get width restrictions on certain roads. This could be added at Map edit level and integrated with navigation route planning and would need a new set of parameters in the vehicle details/settings that would determine if your vehicle can actually take advantage of routes which have width restrictions!!
i have been caught out several times in an oversize vehicle before!!

Great thinking! The issue you raised has been addressed in a recent redesign. Hope you like it!

Dear Waze Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I would like to share some ideas to enhance the Waze application, making it even more useful for truck drivers in Brazil. Given the significance of freight transportation by trucks in the country, I believe these specific features can make a difference in the experience and safety of drivers.
1. **Vehicle Restrictions:**
- Integration of information on specific restrictions for trucks, such as maximum height, weight allowed on certain roads, and width restrictions.2. **Truck Service Stations:**
- Inclusion of information about fuel stations, rest areas, and other services tailored for trucks along routes.3. **Hazardous Cargo Alerts:**
- Provision of information on safe routes for vehicles transporting hazardous cargo.4. **Specific Route Planning for Trucks:**
- Offering optimized route options for trucks, considering specific vehicle characteristics.5. **Risk Area Alerts:**
- Functionality to alert drivers about areas known for high crime rates or suspicious activities.6. **Panic Button:**
- Implementation of a panic button for emergency situations, allowing drivers to send quick alerts to their companies or local authorities, including real-time location sharing and information about the situation.I believe these additions can not only improve travel efficiency but also significantly contribute to the safety of truck drivers. We appreciate the attention of the Waze team to these suggestions and look forward to seeing these features implemented in the future.
Sincerely,
Fernando Sousa de Paulo -

There should be an option to avoid roads with width restrictions. I drive a larger car and would love to avoid these roads to save my wheels being damaged.

This is width restriction not license plate restriction

This is very important the app often directs me to roads which are too narrow for my vehicle

It would be really great if you can put in width restrictions on the app for cars/SUVs as some of the London road bollards still curb your rims as they have an additional protruding paved sidelines and it doesn’t matter how slowly you pass through them you get a rash. It would be greatly appreciated if some kind warning could be placed

I second this. My car is just shy of the narrowest 2m restrictions and I have scraped my wheels on several occasions, costing me £100 to repair on each occasion. I would love it if I could avoid these routes altogether.

In cities such as London, there are an increasing number of roads which have width restriction barriers/bollards. These can be ridiculously tight for cars, let alone LGVs and HGVs. It would be helpful to have an option to avoid roads with these width restrictions, much the same way you already have options to avoid Toll Roads / Ferries / Motorways / Unpaved Roads / Difficult Junctions.
Examples include:
On Colebrooke Row - near the junction of Duncan Street with Colebrooke Row and Vincent Terrace - N1 8DB
On Halstead Road - near the junction of Church Street and Halstead Road - N9 9HY
On Firs Lane - near the junction of Firs Lane and Barrowell Green - N21 3AX -

I have been caught several times in London with width restrictions as I drive a Van over 6'6" wide.
Also 'Height Restrictions' would be very useful as my van is over 12 foot high. -

height is also a problem
