Add route style 'safe and simple' & 'eco-drive'
Selecting 'safe and simple' route will navigate you with safe wide roads without to many small cuves and turns. It might nog be the fastest of shortest but will avoid danger. Selecting 'eco-drive' caculates the most environmental friendly route and minimizes fuel consumption and pollution, just add you car and engine type in the settings menu and Waze will calculate your eco-ride.

This really needs implementing, with the option to select your vehicle type to achieve the most economical route for your vehicle e.g. hybrid, electric, petrol

Why does Waze not offer a choice of more eco friendly route? I don’t want to go the fastest way - I want to go the shortest way & burn less fuel

As an EV driver of over 10 years this is something that should have been critical back then...and now that the range is so much better it isn't as critical, but still is something that should have already been added - especially with the move auto makers are making to EVs. I do know I can select an Electric car, however I don't see a route option for eco ride.

Great idea! And with more and more electric vehicles coming online, this will be even more important!

With the gas price increasing so fast. Google maps has the option of eco route, need one in Waze.

Determine the shortest route without stops or reducing the amount of stops (stop signs or traffic lights). When we are not in a hurry, we want to conserve fuel. Happy Earth Day.

Hello,
I’ve been using Waze for a last couple of years and I am very thankful for all of the ideas and their implementations in your app. I would like to propose and additional feature to compliment people who drives with keeping the ecology in mind. You already collecting data about how fast people drive their vehicles. If you can build a profile for each Waze user about his/her eco-driving habits and then for instance collaborate with a financial institution that can offer a lower interest rate to those who are eco-drivers, or something like that I think we all are going to benefit from this. Most of all in global view we are going to use far less fossil fuels and thus we are going to effectively fight with the global warming. In a big fight every solder counts and if an average Joe can participate at no additional costs what so ever to the global battle for the greener and better Earth future, isn’t that a great goal to achieve? At the same time we can motivate people to become a “healthier” eco-drivers and they will benefit by receiving a social score, or a lower interest or something else.

Would be nice to use speed data (or gyroscope of phone) calculate acceleration and deaccelaretaion. Based on that waze can calculate the Eco driving style. Finally, Wazer can save fuel or electricity.
