Option to disable route recalculating alert. That nerve wracking chirp is driving me crazy!
Whoever approved that grating & obnoxious squawking route recalculation alarm should be fired. I drive a cab and even my customers cringe when they hear it and say "what's that awful noise". PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US TURN IT OFF! Alerts only should mean alerts only. Hearing that damn noise screech and grate 5 times when I'm driving through a parking lot is maddening!

It's so hard to understand why the developers don't realize how annoying this is.

I just turned off Waze audio because of this. This alert should be optional.

This noise has been annoying large numbers of people for many years, please turn it off or make that an option.

This would be a wonderful option

Please let us disable reroute alert sound, or it least change it to a more softer tone. It wakes my kids in the car, everytime that dings.

My dogs have become conditioned to knowing we are stopping on the highway when they hear the recalculating sound. PLEASSSEEEEE give an option to turn it off!.

This is so much louder than the other app sounds and it is sooo freaking annoying. Please add option to turn this notification off, just flash a pop-up like a you do for a hazard or police , etc.

Please fix this!
we shouldn't have to hack the OS or the app's sound files just to get an annoying beep to stop! -

It's called "TickerPoints.mp3". This brain-melting offender comes with a bonus mp3 compression that will add a little sizzle to your technological migraine. It is located here: WAZE>SOUND>ENG. It will be in the language folder of whatever language you are using, and might have a different name in another language. It was not located in >COMMON with the other .wav sounds, which are all pretty reasonably mixed, and you never hear them anyway. I will attempt to replace the file. If you are on iOS, then you'll have to ask Siri.

That's only possible with root, and neither root nor the inconvenience of having to go through and mess with that should be required when the developers can simply add a volume for it and/or option to disable it (I know you're not saying it's a reasonable fix to the problem but rather a workaround that at least allows some users to solve it, so not criticizing you, but rather the development team).

on android simply delete the sound file, or replace it with silence

I don't even necessarily want to mute it, but there needs to be an option to turn the volume of the recalculating beep down. It's far louder than the warnings and other audio from the phone like podcasts and is literally painful.
