Option to disable route recalculating alert. That nerve wracking chirp is driving me crazy!
Whoever approved that grating & obnoxious squawking route recalculation alarm should be fired. I drive a cab and even my customers cringe when they hear it and say "what's that awful noise". PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US TURN IT OFF! Alerts only should mean alerts only. Hearing that damn noise screech and grate 5 times when I'm driving through a parking lot is maddening!

People have been complaining about this chirp for years and Waze seems intent on keeping it around. It's the sole reason that Waze isn't my primary navigation app.

Please add this option, I use Waze for daily commute to let me know find the fastest route considering that day’s traffic, and then have just alerts enabled. But each time either I make an adjustment or Waze makes an adjustment, then the chime goes off. This’ll be 10 times per commute, and having the ability to turn this one thing off like I can other alerts would make the experience far less jarring.

I'm afraid I disagree. I myself found that sound USEFUL in many situation. Obviously an option to switch it off at will could be useful but I would never deactivate it.

We would love to be able to disable this feature. We drive on a wide interstate in the HOV Lane and Waze thinks we're off the route. It's super frustrating.

Are you really proud of this high pitch recalculating alert? Any reasons that everybody hates this sound and you just don't want to change it?

Yes, option to disable or lower the volume of route recalculating alert. That high pitch alert is driving me crazy and force me not to use waze again!
