Quick-report presets
The amount of phone interaction required for reporting is a bit onerous while driving. Tap to Report > select category > add optional additional info > send. I often skip reporting altogether to avoid distracting from driving.
I would love to see the ability to have one-touch presets for making reports from the main screen. A single tap to mark & send a report on an accident, hazard, or speedtrap, etc.
User might even be allowed to customize which presets are present and/or include specific text (i.e. "Left lane closed") for frequent events.
We plan to work on Quick-report presets in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

Add quick customizable icons to main screen.
For example, object on road, vehicle stop, accident, etc ... -

Customizable quick access buttons on right side of screen for reporting "vehicle on side of road, crash ahead, object on road, etc.."

One tap (Just one button) for vehicle stopped on shoulder ahead, I have to tap too many buttons to report this and that makes me not want to do it. It’s Dangerous if I’m driving but I still want to warn others. It seems to be the most common alert, so I would think the majority of people would like this.

Just don't know why this idea hasn't taken traction,
In the UK you can now no longer touch your phone while driving, enabling this you could use accessibility technology to activate these. -

Make the buttons customizable instead of auto shortcuts. Buttons can be tailor to what the driver reports the most.

This is my biggest complaint with the app. Need to get these most common actions down to just one button click. For one thing it would be much safer for the driver.

When I drive and see a hazard on the sides of the road I have to go through three screens until the end. 1. Click on the alert icon on the navigation screen 2. Select danger 3. Roadside vehicle. The whole process which is at high speed causes the distraction from the road which is a risk and also inaccurate regarding the location because I go a long way from the beginning of the reporting process to the end. In 90 percent of cases it is a roadside vehicle. My suggestion is to have one icon on the navigator screen and one click will do the whole process of roadside vehicle reporting. The process I suggest is fast and accurate and lowers the risk of distracting the eye from the road

I read that a long press would bring up oft-used reports... not sure if this works in AA or CarPlay

I agreee! The user can choose up to 5 shortcuts for fixed buttons in the interface (this amount can be larger or smaller, for example, in CarPlay).

I really need such a button. Better, allow the user to set up hot buttons to provide a function of the user's choice. "Visible Police" would be useful, I think.

To be able to switch to motorcycle option, and get offered the motorcycle route or not, but limited icons when ready to indicate a hazard , our main issues are object on road , police and traffic

When reporting cars on the road, can you make how you report police? Hit the orange button then click on car stopped on road or shoulder.
Right now you have to click the screen 4 times to report a stalled car.

I fully support and highly recommend this addition to the app. It takes too many presses and too much time to add an hazard, or police sighting. I suggest calling it a QWaze, quick Waze, one touch and the map addition is added.Much safer and much easier and quicker. If I had this ability I'd add an icon for police and one for car on the shoulder.

Now to change sound settings I must hit the volume button then it gets bigger and must hit it a second time then choose “sounds on or alerts only”, then “resume”! 4 steps that take focus from the road-dangerous! Make it a big button on the main screen that you can just tap once !! Safer!
Thankyou 🙏🏽💝
