Quick-report presets
The amount of phone interaction required for reporting is a bit onerous while driving. Tap to Report > select category > add optional additional info > send. I often skip reporting altogether to avoid distracting from driving.
I would love to see the ability to have one-touch presets for making reports from the main screen. A single tap to mark & send a report on an accident, hazard, or speedtrap, etc.
User might even be allowed to customize which presets are present and/or include specific text (i.e. "Left lane closed") for frequent events.
We plan to work on Quick-report presets in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

Agree one million %
Not sure about 1 click as seems it would clutter the UI, but I've been able to lessen the UI to 2 clicks for ANY event, cmon waze... all those clicks are very bad design
Lets start with traffic reports... you don't need them Your backend automatically already knows where ALL slowdowns already are by your monitoring... I know, I've seen it... So why do we even need to tell people there is traffic... that should be automated
Now all other notices can be simplified...
Who better to tell you about a problem up ahead than a person coming from the opposite direction that already has seen the problem... But currently, waze does not offer this on all items, only police.. this needs to change... click the button to add, then a simple UI to add a vehicle, police, etc on your side or opposite side.. all on one simple screen... two clicks -

To add a couple of customizable quick access buttons so that driver could to add an accident or police (for example) in one click, depending on what the driver sets up these buttons. At the moment, to add an event, up to 5 clicks are needed.

Add 3 custom shortcuts on navigation screen as the most used reports.
For exemple visible police, stoped vehicule and danger on road. The finger drag thing is not really appropriate and i never have enough time to find the right option on my phone while focusing on the road (+ it is dangerous)

Very good idea! I was thinking the same. My car does not have a touchscreen so it's harder to report something (and more unsave). A device with physical buttons would make it way more easy. It can be like these "amazon buttons".

it takes too much time off of the road to report something from apple carplay, if there are maybe two buttons on the right of the screen "vehicle on sholder" and "police reported" so that its a quick button press and not several page flips

In addition, it's ridiculous that the main report button is lower right, but the most commonly reported items are top left on the next screen. If you're holding a large phone with your right hand, it's very hard to move your thumb from lower right to top left without dropping the phone or accidentally touching somewhere else on the screen. Put the most commonly used reports in the lower right, under where the main report button is.

It would be great if we had more quick access buttons down the left side of the main screen. Takes too many steps to access other functions. (Alternate Routes, Police, Vehicle Stopped, etc.)
It would be great to have the most used options on the main screen with 1-button quick access.
It would be even better if the user could customize the buttons that they would like on the main screen. -

Please make the icon for "car on side of road" a one click button since this is the most common alert. Having to click 5 buttons is too much

In waze should have in the main screen a button to report radar not yet registered. This would facilitate the inclusion of new radars.
Also when informing the radar or police, speak the maximum speed in the stretch avoiding that we have to take our eyes off the road. -

It would be so much easier to add "your" most common hazards to the main screen. If they can add a music icon, surely they can allow drivers to add two/three of their most common hazard's? Much safer!

I echo this request. Being able to pick two 'custom shortcuts' to add to the main reporting options would allow for a 2 tap process. For me, Hazard - On Shoulder - Vehicle Stopped and "Police Visible" would do it.
Distracted driving laws in Ontario are very harsh. $600-$1000 for a first offence, plus suspension. This goes up to $3000 and a 30-day suspension for a 3rd offence.

Create quick access shortcuts for frequently used alerts. Takes too long to drop an alert when you come across something on the road when you have to search through so many options. Gives a 3-4 common used ones. or make it custom for the user.

I'm sure you have stats on the most frequent reports over all and for each user. There is plenty of space to add a customizable button or 2 or 3 for each user on the navigation screen. I know I would report a LOT more if it was easier and SAFER

A customizable event reporting menu would be great, so we'd report what we usually report and what we want. For example reporting a cop now takes like 5 taps which is really annoying when youre driving and want to help. A cop is a cop, should be one tap ... The app became really bloaty and unintuitive, i'm starting to think that the majority of the staff doesnt even own a driving license ...

Ditto the safety factor alone for making at least one or two shortcuts. Vehicles along the road are a constant hazard and it makes things more dangerous having to go through multiple steps.
Car along the side, police reports, objects in road. That is plenty of shortcuts.

I'm interested to report traffic police traps whenever I see one, and to help me do this more often I need a way to do it in "1 click mode". Maybe allow users to pick a thing they want to repeatedly report and assign it to the "1 click" mode.
