I think this would be great.

Maybe this could work also if Waze could detect patterns of users leaving parking spaces, with no need for user to inform the app that the space has been emptied (e.g. provide a likelihood of a parking space having been freed based on a each user's behavior - app in use, last location/parking info, other datapoints).

The app suggests Car Parks near the user's destination which is great in general. Although, these suggestions keep popping up even if the destination venue has the "Parking for customers" property ticked and this is counter intuitive..

The app should show only one parking pin on the destination itself, and potentially offer more parking nearby as an option.

Would be interesting if the nearest parking feature was available when we arrived at the destination.

If roads through parking lots are city owned public roads then just convert them to a Street and Waze will use them for routing.
If the parking lot is on private land then it shouldn't be used as a short cut.

Parking lots take some space in many places, and they may be strategically placed to link many roads around them. However, most free parking lots are obsolete in times of no congestion, or lightly used in regular times. They can be used to provide better routes from one road to another as is the case in so many parking lots that I came across.
My suggestion is to add an option to make a parking lot road routable. In other words, it can be used to route traffic as is the case with any regular road. Of course, the default behavior for any PLR should be "not routable", but editors can change that to "routable" if it seems appropriate.
Of course, such feature should be made available with some guidelines like not applicability to paid parking, local laws preventing routing through parking, parking time restrictions, and vehicle type restrictions. Many of these guidelines are already available through existing features, but others should become proper editing rules for the suggested option.
Providing routable PLRs will save editors so much in having to change PLRs to other types of roads to make them routable where necessary.

Having Car Parks suggested on Waze is a useful function. But are there any plans to give some sort of indication of parking charges as, in cities and towns, these can vary widely even in adjacent car parks.

Would like to see this everywhere. I have to park in a town where spaces are hard to get, so this option would be of benefit to everyone

Sometimes when going to some places (mainly in big cities) the street of our destination has a huge traffic jam and the street by side is totally free or with less traffic. The idea is waze to suggest us to park near and walk to the destination if walking from near place is faster than drive to the destination :)
Once I was driving to a place I could see it from the car and took me 20 minutes to reach.

Can I park my car here? Sometimes it's not completely clear.
Maybe waze can add a button or something that gives us info on the parking situation.
E.g.
-Here parking is free.
-Here you can park for 2 hours if you put your parking card.
-Here you have to pay a guard to park your car. Price is 1Eur an hour
- Here you have to buy a ticket and can park max 1 h
- Here you can only park for 20 minutes on green marked spots
- Here your parking is measured with sensors..

Use of waze to find parking spots with ease.

When a driver starts up the car and puts in the destination address and is about to drive off, nearby wazers or navigation users get a signal which alerts them of the open spot.
First driver near that area and first one to claim spot will still see the location of the spot. Once the spot is claimed, others wont see the signal since its "claimed virtually".

You guys could add a tab where it will show how much parking areas are available in different malls and public places.

I had a lot of experiences wherein I went to a mall I really wanted to go to only to find out it didn't have any open parking slots anymore; I was forced to wait for 30 minutes for a parking space.

This can help people by notifying them if there are even parking spaces available beforehand. This can also help reduce traffic since this feature would help people know where to go instead of going from place to place (if parking spaces are all full).

Optimization Idea: whenever we arrive at the destination, WAZE should offer or indicate available parking places at the destination.

When is it going to be?

Waze can add an options for users to indicate when they are exiting a parking spot (either in a parking lot or on the street). other users in the area get notification where a parking spot is free nearby them. Users will also be able to indicate that they catched the free parking spot and that it is no longer available.

In areas with limited parking spots users that are driving away could report it. Waze could then highlight within a time frame which spots are available, this means if I am a driver and Waze is open on my phone I have better chances to find a spot!

It would be really useful if you could add a button "go to parking" (P pictogram of a parking) next to the button "Go". And this would send the user to the closest parking next to the destination.

Waze could also check if there are parking spaces left and if not send the user to a different parking. Waze could make the parking pay for sending users into the parking !

Last detail : once the user has come out of the parking, Waze could guide him by walking until the final destination and then once he comes out of his meeting at designation, guide him back by walking until the parking.

Tengo un negocio y vivo en una ciudad la cual el transito se ha vuelto un caos y el estacionamiento mas aun.. desde que uso Waze
a sido una buena solución.. pero el estacionamiento es un problema.Es por eso que deberíamos tener una opción de que nos avise con un icono que hay lugar en determinado punto
que los usuarios cuando nos retiramos marquemos que quedo libre o cuando el vehículo entre en movimiento!

In some big cities it is often hard to find a space to park : I suggest that people notify on the app whenever they see a free space, when one leaves its space so that a close person could go and park, or that one notifies when he/she parks. There would be an option like a button "parking" that shows the nearest parking space.
