Movable speedometer
Hold your finger on the speed gauge to move the speed gauge to a suitable location on your screen.
This would be very useful especially on a tablet or phones with big screens.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

The speedometer is now stuck in the centre of the display, where as it was on the left for UK (RHD) vehicles. Can this be moved back to the LH side as its more convenient to look at?

Driver's position. We're right-hand drive, and on a 12.3-inch screen, it is way too far left, so it becomes dangerous to check it.

I'm in a left-hand drive VW Polo with Android Head Unit. With Waze default speedometer position in Android (left bottom of screen), my right hand blocks the speedometer. It is necessary for me to remove my right hand from the steering wheel and to take my eyes fairly far off the road to see it. If I use Apple CarPlay version of Waze, however, the speedometer is at the top right of the screen, which is ideal for me. (However, then I have to deal with Waze / Google decision to disable pinch to zoom in CarPlay) I don't understand why Waze / Google insist on making the speedometer arbitrarily dangerous to use by failing to listen to their user base. This topic has been open since 2016. Is it beyond the coding capabilities of Google / Waze? What gives? I believe everyone in this thread agrees that the mechanical speedometers that come in most cars are fairly inaccurate compared with GPS. It's a pity we cannot optimize the positioning of the Waze GPS speedometer to optimize for safe viewing in our cars. Implementing this feature request could really convince the user base that Waze / Google takes their safety concerns seriously.

Please make it so the speedometer can be dragged to a new position on the screen!
The speedometer being fixed in the bottom left of the phone screen can be an issue depending on where the phone is mounted, the orientation it is mounted, and if the screen is obstructed by the steering wheel for example. -

The speed limit should change position in the lower right corner of the speedometer in landscape mode. When the app displays more information, the speed limit won't be fully covered

Speedometer position Android Auto
Actual Speed and Limit icons to be set closer to driver position (left or right of screen) depending on driver position in settings.
On car displays having the icons on opposite side can take the attention off the road for too long when trying to observe the speed limit / actual speed. -

PLEASE ALLOW SPEED LIMIT INDICATOR TO BE MOVED TO THE TOP LEFT OR RIGHT OR BE RE-SIZABLE. IT IS HARD TO READ IF MOUNTED BELOW EYE LEVEL IN THE VEHICLE

Please move the Speed Limit Display from the right side of the map to the left side of the map in Apple CarPlay so that it's easier for the driver to see, also add a setup selection to only show the Speed Limit similar to what Google Maps does.

I highly recommend and request to be updated the application with this feature, to be available to change the position of the speed limit indication, or to interchange the position of the report icon with the speed limit indication. Thank you a lot

I agree make the speedo movable, in north America we drive on the left so the speedo should be in the left, most of us have big screens like android auto and it's hard to see when it's on the left

Speedmeter is on wrong place for me. I cant see it because of wheel. Thats because navigation is near me. There would be great an option to change the position with report . Thank you

Indeed, this is critical. My speedometer is on the only part of the screen, where I can not see through my hand while holding the steering wheel. I do not understand why the customization options are so limited.

Yes please. It's a accecibility feature! Really important for the driving safety! I need to lock away and move my head to see the speedometer, for the wheel.
