Movable speedometer
Hold your finger on the speed gauge to move the speed gauge to a suitable location on your screen.
This would be very useful especially on a tablet or phones with big screens.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

When using the phone mounted to the right of the steering wheel, the speedometer in the lower left corner of the screen is often blocked from view by the steering wheel. It would be great if there were options for different locations to place the speedometer. Being that the speedometer is a more often hands off tool on the screen it should be able to be placed in more optimum locations vs the report button.

Hello users, hello waze team,
I recently switched to waze since google and Apple Maps just didn’t have enough features.
While I really like the addition of the speedometer and the speed limit display, I think it would be a great addition to let the user choose in what corner of the screen the speedometer will show. Also, my aftermarket headunit is pretty small and I find it hard to read sometimes, especially because it’s pretty small.
So why not let the user choose the placement and size of the speedometer?
In its current state it takes me too long to read it, making it unsafe.Hope to hear back from you

In many case people's hand block the view of the waze speedo if they are using a went style holder if we can switch it it would be easier to tag things on the map and also see our speed/limit.

Please, with Android Auto, zoom in on the two round speed limit signs at the bottom right of the screen!

For vertical android units should be better the upper corner position for speedometer. You won't need to down sight.
Or at least the user be able to choose better position according his screen unit -

Poderia haver a possibilidade de mover o velocímetro na tela para facilitar a visualização e navegação;

This would be easier and nicer to see on the left side especially since the icon is small

I am using an Android unit that is widescreen and the Icon is hidden by the steering wheel.
If it's possible to make it movable it will help in such cases.
Thanks. -

The position of the speed limit left under is hidden by my steering wheel when my phone is attached in the car, while this is very important to be visible.
I would suggest for.ex. the sign is switched with the orange sign to make an announcement on the right side below. Or another option could be, that you could personalise your screen and put the speed sign in another corner. Thanks. -

Hi Team,
Ability to select either left or right side screen display.
For those drivers that are right hand side drive having this on bottom left isn’t practical. Also ability to increase size of display

Your second suggestion already exists though.
Once you've set your destination and route, you can hit the top bar (where the instructions are) that will come down and show all the list of instructions on your route (under "next turns") but there is also a tab with all the "Reports ahead" that are going to be on your route.Obviously, the reports are ephemeral, so they can change during your drive.

Suggestion 1
Allow users to set the side the SPEED LIMIT circle appears on...in Australia as in many other countries we drive on the left and sit on the right seat...on Waze, the Large circle with the speed limit is on the far left and designed for cars where u sit on the left side...needs a switch to allow option side that the speed limit appears on...too dangerous and far away to look at it.Suggestion 2 - THis is a big one...Alert warnings...Where police, speed cameras, construction is reported ahead, it doesnt warn u far in advance...speed cameras i think is a max of 500m. If there i trouble ahead, some sort of advance warning headers up the top of the screen would be VERY VERY useful. I drive long distances a lot, and this is a big missing feature in Waze. i want to know WHAT's ahead of me, even if its 5km ahead...

in some cars, the ac out vent is tilted, and the speedometer stays behind the wheel

As we drive on the left side of the car, when using the built-in multimedia of the car, we cant properly see the speedometer or the indications because the steering wheel is hiding it.. Having it on the right side if the screen would be much safer.

When your driving and it shows the speed limit. If a alert shows up it blocks the speed / your speed. I think you should move the speed limit and your speed to the upper right instead of having the music connect. That way If it says "Police reported ahead" It no longer blocks the speed limit and I can see if I'm going the speed limit or not. People use the speed limit / my speed a lot more then the music connect. so make the important things up top.

The speedometer is now down left corner and not changeable to another corner.
Make it changeable so the corner can be selected were you want it to have
