volume control for iphone
The voice navigation is extremely loud... definitely need the ability to balance it with my music.

Volume when using bluetooth is far too low: I can hardly hear the directions!

When listening to a podcast at normal volume via Bluetooth on an Android phone, the Waze directions is so loud it nearly blows my speakers. This means that it is basically impossible to use Waze and stream audio from my phone.

Or to turn it off when on a call. When I near a turn while on a call, I lose 10-15 seconds while she is telling me nav instructions. I'd like the option to turn them off if I know where I'm going but using nav for arrival time.

I would say the voice level has dropped since the last update. It needs to be louder.

I have the opposite - the volume of the voice to too low on my iPhone when listening to music - it would be nice if their was a two tier control, where the overall volume of the voice, and the muffling volume reduction differential of the music (or other audio) when announcing.

I would also like the ability to change the volume, but the other way around, I use the iPhone speaker and it is very quiet when I am using my radio as well. So I would like to increase the volume! :-)

iPhone user with this issue.
I am glad I am not the only one with this issue. I dock my iphone 4, and the dock connects to my car stereo... I am constantly playing music from my iphone in the background with Waze running in the foreground.
WHile I love the TTS voice navigation, it comes through very loud relative to the music... so much so, i get a buzzing/rattling in my speakers. Oftentimes I completely disable voice nav to eliminate the over-loud voice.
Please give us a volume control, maybe a high, medium, low setting... with the current volume level being "high"
Mute isn't sufficient because there are many times I don't want to disable the voice-nav.
I recommended Waze to a friend who uses a BlackBerry... he had the same volume issue.

At least make it possible to mute the thing...

PLEASE! You have to allow us to control the volume in comparison to other running audio content. I cannot listen to mp3s on the iphone. WAZE is too loud! It scares me and my passengers when driving down the road, listening to an audio book and suddenly, WAZE comes over the stereo system tens of decibels louder than the audio book! The loud volume works well if te iphone is not plugged into the stereo, but NOT plugged into the stereo.

Agreed, there seems to be no way to adjust or balance volume with currently running audio content. No way to turn off fruit sounds or redirect. Would prefer non-critical sounds to have a background volume (or silent) rather than muting main content and sounding too loud. Critical alerts (hazard, traps, etc) could have a separate volume.
