Stop using last direction of travel to determine directions on startup.
Waze should not use the last direction of travel for determining routes. Instead of routing 5 turns to go the opposite direction on a roadway, waze should just say "go east/west/north/south on xx" or just not have any audible direction and send you on the fastest path mid segment.

While I completely agree with the need for this suggestion a road with curb side parking would benefit from the current implementation. I've actually explained this behavior to a number of wazers as "assumed curb side parking". An attribute on the road segment to toggle between current and suggested behavior seems reasonable.

It's simple - let us turn off the frustrating auto-navigate in the app itself. why do i need to login to the dashboard i can adjust pretty much anything else in the app why not an On/Off right there where it's convenient.
Also stop auto-navigate from navigating me to nowhere - I have no saved addresses

There needs to be a way to turn this off. Aside from being annoying, it isn't right that anyone near my phone can see where I've been recently.

Agree - need a way to TURN OFF this "feature" - for many reasons including safety.

Lately ever time I open the Waze app my recent locations pops up and I have to close that before I can proceed to do anything else! This is quite annoying

i followed the instructions to turn off auto suggestions for destination, and the app doesn't stop auto suggesting destinations when i open the app. please give us a way to turn it off. sometimes i'll use siri shortcuts to get the app open to navigate somewhere, and it'll start, but then the auto suggested location's countdown will finish, and it will change the navigation on me.

For some reason the moron who made the toggle for this feature made it so you have to SIGN INTO THE WEBSITE instead of being able to change it on the app. The setting toggled itself back on (because apparently waze knows what I want more than I do) and now I can't sign into the website. Great design, you morons.

Stop trying to guess where i'm going and then auto-routing there - you suck at it! => Fairly regularly i open waze and it predicts i am driving home or to work and auto-routes me to either of those locations. Sadly i am often driving in the opposite direction or not driving to either. I do not understand why you force this on your users. Maybe offer a tiny pop up 5-10% screen coverage to suggest auto routing and require the user to confirm it (give 10 seconds or something) but auto routing without confirmation is just plain stupid. Sadly you such at it and therefore it makes it even more frustrating.

I would propose a toggle option be added to disable the automatic option for “On your way to...”

Yes, fix this, this dumb feature made me lose many rides, why would an app just start directing me to go home by itself? This is idiotic and it's making me lose money, use common sense when you design features, you have created the best app out there but then you damaged it with such an idiotic useless damaging frustrating upsetting DUMB feature!

I have latest versions of Waze & Lyft Driver app on my iPhone. Sometimes when I start Waze from Lyft app, Waze asks me if I am going home or to some other usual stop as it's opening the Lyft address & overrides the Lyft address. This happens more prevalent if waze was not already open. Does not happen with Uber. Please Fix.

Don't make me choose my destination from a list of "nearbys" and cross streets, when I've already given a full address already! Including a zip code! VERY, very annoying.

If I wanted to go home or to work, I would tap the option in my frequent places. Or at least make an option to turn this bizarre prompting off that doesn't require me to remove my home/work address from my settings.

Don't assume I am going somewhere PLEASE. I want to run the app without constant direction.

After discussion with others, I think no instruction at all, and routing either way on a segment is best. Much like the way the livemap routes. Ignore GPS direction for that first 30 seconds of making a route and just give us the best route regardless.

It is like waze is trying to figure out directions from last known location, figure out current location, download any messages, download any "new voice guidance packages" all at the same time.
Get my location first then directions if needed, then general housekeeping updates.

How distracting and dangerous is it to fight with a navigation device while driving because it selected some random algorithmic destination. If I wanna directions, I'll let you know. Mostly I just want traffic conditions.

Currently, EVERY time I launch Waze, it asks me if I want to start directions. If I don't respond (by selecting "Cancel" it will launch without me wanting to. Guess what? I don't need directions to get home EVERY day!! This feature is so annoying. Please change this part of the app so that it doesn't think for you (and launch directions automatically) or have the question remain on the screen until someone answers the question.

I have my phone setup to turn on Waze automatically when it detects I'm in the car (bluetooth connection). But 9 times out of 10 when it wants to auto-route me to work or home, I'm not headed there (which is a whole separate issue). And the 8 sec decision time is too short... It would be nice if the default answer for auto-routing was changeable to "NO" and/or the default decision time of 8 sec was adjustable.
