Adding Roadside Animal detection system to Waze as a feature will help reduce animal roadkill problem.
Roadside Animal Detection (RADAR) systems – A computerized signs with flashing light stripped when an animal breaks a light beam . These can reduce collisions with large animals. These alerts and captured images can also be sent to different GPS apps like Waze, so that drivers coming by on that road can be alerted through their GPS apps and slow down when crossing that area.

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Please. Create these two alerts: "animal on track" and "animal in need of rescue". Today I found an injured dog on a very busy public road and I didn't know what to do. I was distressed. And if possible, when the user clicked on the "animal in need of rescue" alert, the entity responsible for these rescues in the city would be alerted immediately. Please do this! I speak of Salvador - Bahia - Brazil.

As always they gave us one excuse to future time.
That's why I avoid as much as possible the update of the application. -

Absolutely needs to come back.
There are animals beside the road all the time.
Must have. -

I live in the country, and there are MANY deer along the roads. I had always found these alerts for animals on the shoulder very helpful. Please bring it back!

Taking away ability to mark animals was bad idea - most important feature behind reporting cops!

Please bring back reporting animals nearby. This of us who live in more rural areas NEED this to prevent deer & other animal accidents. Just last week a clipped a deer & I couldn't report deer nearby & was stunned. We NEED it back!

I lost my animals nearby function a few days ago & what do you know I hit a deer this morning! I would alays slow down a bit if I saw the warning on WAZE. Bring it back WAZE it is a huge issue where I live in the country!

It could prevent accidents.

An animal on the shoulder helps to alert drivers of potential hazards. I see a lot of deer on the roadside and can no longer alert fellow drivers.
Additionally, road kills are also dangerous. Somehow that option was removed. Why? -
Ian NCS commented
Il faut garder ces options. Moi aussi même si en temps normal surtout la nuit je fait attention, ces options m'ont aidé à éviter des collisions ! A remettre rapidement s'il vous plaît 🙏

Bring back the animal feature. I live in the low country and the animal feature has saved me so many times from hitting Bambi.

Animals are big percentage of vehicle accidents! Why remove this warning from the "Road Hazard Listing" of options?
-
Sean Yardley commented
Please include a wildlife icon in the hazards beside road. I found this very usefull in the past as a portion of the roads I travel occasionally have kangaroos in the early morning and they camouflage into the grassy backgrounds.
I have hit 4 roos in the last ten years as they come and go to greener pastures and you never know when they will be there. -

Good morning,
I would like to make a suggestion: in Portugal there are many abandoned animals that walk on the road, which is a danger for them and causes many accidents.
I would like there to be an "animal on the road" warning to warn drivers of the danger.
Thank you very much for your excellent work.
