Average speed camera zone
When in an average speed camera enforced zone it would cool if the green progress bar turned red when my average speed exceeds the limit

Perhaps it would be nice if they could make the average speed zone progression bar available for Landscape mode first. Since a lot of cars who use android auto/apple carplay force waze into landscape mode and there is for some unknown reason nog progression bar. A lot of people have already asked for this feature and frankly there is no reason why it shouldn't already be in there

Display the average speed in a average speed zone and alert if the user is driving over the average speed

Eg. Speed Threshold of 5kmh or 10kmh below the limit, and a green ring flashes around the speed sign. That way if I forget the speed limit, I don’t need to push the car up to and past the limit to find out.

Calculated average speed from the time of entering the average speed zone can be displayed as a temporary second circle near the speed circle. The length of average speed zone can be displayed as a line around this temporary average speed circle. If the calculated average speed is more than allowed, the number can become red like in over speed.

Hello,
Could you take inspiration from Coyote to report and manage section speed cameras.
Perhaps flash the speedometer and / or emit a beep for the duration of the check (can be activated or deactivated in the parameters)
Many thanks for your excellent work -

And showing your average speed within the zone would be nice

This is the last feature missing, I think in the uk it’s critical as we have so many average zones

If you drive in a speed trap of approx. 5 km long with a speed limit of 120km/h you should at any point during that speed trap distance know how much your average speed is since you entered that speed trap. But unfortunately waze only shows the current speed like verywhere else in bottom left corner. During a speed trap however current speed is of less importance. Average speed is then all that matters. Would be really great to add this feature. TomTom had this.

Over speed limit - red background white numbers

Most males are colorblind to one extent and the color contrasts are my biggest issues of Waze.
i.e. When going over speed limit the text is red on black background. Make it something like red on a yellow background with a black border.
I can go on and on about how difficult it is to read the map while driving especially at night with all its grey lines. -

I agree that when travelling over the speed limit needs some sort of flagging, and red seems appropriate. However, when driving with the iPhone on the dashboard in bright light, the red/black actual speed that is shown now does not provide enough contrast to easily note the current speed. All I know is that I am over the limit without picking up the phone and looking at it closely. A bad thing. A dark red background with white numbers should provide the red and the daylight contrast.

While using the app on a motorcycle in full daylight the speed displayed in red (exceeding the limit) against the black background is mostly unreadable (I do have color deficiency). Consider using a white background with the red numerals or outling the numerals in white to provide better constrast.
