State line alerts/voice prompt

I love Waze, I use it all the time! I drive almost 2000 miles a week for work, One thing I would love to have as a feature is state prompts or when you cross the state line if it announced welcome to "state name". sometimes when you're driving on back roads they don't always have the Stateline sign, I've even missed The big ones on the highway. It would just be nice to have a voice prompt simply say welcome to "state name" thanks!

    Suggested in 2016 acknowledged and passed on to the 'Team' in 2022. How much longer until we see it in the app?

    Yes I am moving from California to Texas as we speak and it would be amazing once I cross state line that I get a notification.

    As I cross state lines, I need a brief pop-up notification informing the "line has been crossed". So when in New York State on I81, when I cross into Pennsylvania, a pop-up appears and says, "Welcome to Pennsylvania". So whatever state I cross into, this notification appears and an audible mention of the state name. This is a current feature in Google maps.

    Currently, I use Google maps when traveling through states to my destination. Once I'm in the destination state, I switch over to your Waze program when I come to a stop.

    It would be nice if it announced the county and the city name as well cuz sometimes you don't know what county or city you're in.

    State lines make orientation much easier when looking at the overview, particularly in a country as large as the USA.

    I totally agree!! I just drove from Tampa Florida to Hannibal Missouri to Phoenix Arizona through 11 states and we never knew when we were close to the state borders. Google Maps shows state lines on theirs, but I prefer to use Waze. Please fix!!

    It would be great to get a heads up when you are about to enter a new state so you can snap a photo if you want.

    some kind of visual and auditory notice on crossing state lines and what state that is.

    I agree, or show the state name you are in on the navigation screen.

    Would be great if it could announce the state you are entering. I drive for work and I need to note at what mileage I cross state lines. Thanks guys!

    Whenever a user crosses state lines it would be helpful for them to receive an ALERT about the regulations specific to that new state relative to hands-free driving. (or other info). It could even be sponsored by someone like a wireless company to generate revenue.
