re-route based on upcoming traffic conditions / congestions
While waze does show upcoming traffic condition on one's route it does not provide facility to automatically re-route the traveler around traffic congestion using surface streets or alternate highway/freeway.
This is essential to optimizing waypoint ordering/priority:
This ought be available in other-than a binary toggle (yes or no). While yes and no are suitable broad options, waze ought provider finer grained control of re-routing as it does now (faster or shorter). These should include
(1) time windows
(2) zones / areas
(3) specific roads / highways / freeways
(4) density of other Wazers
(5) using either / both wazer data and federal/state in-road traffic monitoring
(6) "only into green"
(7) sheeple mode
(1)
define one's own rush-hours
(2)
One ought be able to specify whitelist- and/or blacklist areas in which waze performs congestion re-routing
(4)
only if density greater than X
(6)
If traffic is indicated in green elsewhere then waze may re-route me there. Otherwise waze may route me into any color traffic that is faster than where I am currently.
(7)
follow the faster herd of wazers

The Heard Sheering features if they exist did not give credirt to this guy who has a plethora of awesome suggestions.
Where are these features AS toggles AS suggested?

How are all of these GENIUS ideas implemented?
This isn't "completed"

The status has been changed to Completed 06/11/2016 per email notification. Is someone able / willing to elaborate on what this ACTUALLY means? Complete and discarded as a line of development, implemented and rolled out (if so, what release / version, many features suggested, which made the cut, and how is an end user to tell if this is working as intended? Are any that have NOT been implemented still under consideration / developement?

It needs to suggest other routes based on traffic flow or lack of flow.

I don't understand all of your variations

Oh no...
Its mean Waze do not take account the traffic to plan a route ?
It does not make sense -

I would like to see an option to route based on traffic in addition to the already Fastest and Shortest. Sometimes I am not in a hurry but don't want to drive in heavy traffic and not care if it is a longer drive, just less stressful.

Why not have customisable parameters for auto rerouting. Eg you can tell waze to reroute if conditions change and a new route is more than 5mins quicker. I don't want to constantly be rerouted for a 1 min benefit, but if all of a sudden there's a crash ahead and the journeys going to take an extra half hour or worse id like waze to simple change the route

I strongly agree that this is a badly needed feature that numerous soft and hard navigation tools are far in advance of Waze on. I'm concerned about blindly following route changes because my Waze often tells me to do dumb things. Examples: 1) Get off at an exit, I get off, get on at the next entrance or the one after that. Problem: There's NO SLOWDOWN present on Waze or in reality. 2) Turn and go into a neighborhood adding several miles in order to reach some place that a single turn will accomplish. Sometimes I'm instructed to PASS my destination, go a seemingly random path, and distance, then come back and turn into a parking lot that's across the street. If I'm driving I can't report this anomaly without claiming to be a passenger and hoping I stay in my lane.
As a result I use my own judgement to arbitrate whatever Waze says unless I can't tell the difference. If I was always a passenger with a much better signal than I usually have I could figure out why the route has changed and decide if I agreed or not. Since I'm usually both driving and alone in areas that I'm familiar with to some degree I can do this with higher success than a coin flip. I am concerned about how reliable Waze and similar products are when I'm not familiar with the area or can't see that there's a better way to the destination.
I chose Waze because Google Maps often refers to it as the source of condition speed notification and I wanted to be on the front end of that. I contribute to the accuracy as much as I can.
I'm done

Oops..I left off content about a warning message - it should read:
I am looking for waze to forewarn "warning - congestion xx miles ahead-speed xx mph" or "warning - traffic stopped 6.8 miles ahead", followed by "3 alternate routes available - select or cancel."
It should include in the message " [Issue] [miles] with:
[Issue] - Traffic Stopped, Congestion, Road Closure
[Miles] - xx miles ahead, speed xx mph -

Early notification and rerouting options are why I selected this product. If I am on a highway and there is congestion ahead on the same road, I am looking for waze to forewarn "warning - congestion ahead-speed xx mph" or "warning - traffic stopped 6.8 miles ahead", followed by "3 alternate routes ahead - select or cancel."
Also, if I am on a street and I am coming to an intersection where if I turn right I will run into a traffic jam, I want the intersection directions to be color coded indicating "red" - traffic stopped if you turn right, "yellow" = traffic moving below speed limit if I turn yellow, "grey - standard" if I continue straight.
I only use navigation when I am going out of town but I want the above to be predictive and warn of potential road challenges. -

I would love a "route avoidance" choice of yellow and red congested roads. I personally will drive a 25%+ longer route just to never have to drive below 45mph on a highway... Someone else here mentioned a "no more traffic" option and I would like to take that a little further and suggest a "thumbs up" road status so someone could flag an alternate route/frontage road/etc with comments like "I'm glad I took this road instead of the backed up highway beside it".

The suggestion is obviously [?] for nuanced user control of routing strategies, AND expansion of routing logic.
Given the OP link to waypoints
http://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-client-how-can-we-improve-waze-on-your-phone-/suggestions/2360018-navigation-waypointsthe ideas seem to have been suggested for tandem implementation. It's clear the linked idea albeit marked 'completed' is NOT completed in accord with OP notion.

I'm surprised to hear this as an issue, because dynamic rerouting works great for me and is the main reason I use Waze on my commute every day. I already know the various ways to get to work and back but Waze is great at finding the best current route. And it does change the route as conditions change.

I agree with this. I was actually going to suggest that waze make more use of roads in problem areas side roads residential routes anything to give relief to highways and problem inner city roadways. Lots of in used road out there that we can be using more efficiently

Starting to think this does not fully work... at least not on all phones...
* Waze can you comment? -

Yeah, Waze's horrible rerouting sucks my butt. This is why I rarely even use it anymore. I have a 45 mile commute on I-25 and it will never reroute or offer side roads even if it's completely stopped at some point. Good thing I know all the alternate routes myself. I'll even get off the interstate with Waze running and it'll keep trying to route me back on, and once I pass the horrible congestion and get back on my ETA is way shorter because I knew the faster way and Waze NEVER seems to learn these side roads.

There should be an option to report "no more traffic". Also, reporting traffic for "other lane" doesn't seem to work.
