New quests for those who have passed the old
I went through all the quests that are on my page (You first 10 miles...Drive 500 miles within a week). I suggest to add new quests for us.

My idea before forum flogged me, GeoMeThis, as anonymous
I'd also prefer
° AD-free via purchased app
° dead reckoning now page one idea
° both internal and external GPS. Android can supplement with BlueGPS app from Fdroid
° better selective herd routing from veriloquous page oneCooperative questing with Jingle send short audio blurb
Sadly is more popular with phone GPS

As waze integrated yelp without having to instal their POORLY designed app waze could integrate

there should be distinct points tables for
• utility of reports vs frivolity
• usage of founded group(s)
• confirming events rather than duplicating
• GPS precision of road recording
• contributing metrics when not navigating
• accuracy AND precision details of reports
•° requires tweaking voting semantics
•° wiki contribution
•° forum helpfulness
•°° refraining from "agreed" without authority
•°° avoiding useless duplication
• adding media to reports
•° I would but waze does not sanitize images prior to upload. needs must convert to PNG24 before upload to strip away JPEG Meta/embeds
• consolidation of report pegs. mod up spatially proximate mod down slow reflex pegs
*****
• waze geocaching events
•° XMPP OTR coordination or support
•° XMPP OTR evangelism

Then we'd go back to the current situation where at a certain point there would be no more quests to do. I myself never got the 500miles in a week.
But I do like your idea to ramp up the cookies between the initial small cookies. For example, at the beginning giving already a cookie of 75 for 50 edits to promote more edits, then 150 for 100 map edits, then bump up to 300 for 200 edits, but stopping at the current 750 for 500 edits. Same for the suggested new cookies for the driving, new roads, etc, but always with a tangible objective.
I mean, with the price of the fuel these days (outside the US I mean :P), who can drive 500 miles in a week? Portugal itself is not much more than that from north to south ;)

Good idea!
May be next quest should be harder than prev., like «500 miles per week» done? Than «600 miles per week» with more points etc. :)

We already receive points for driving and paving roads and munching, as well as editing the map. I think the 750 points are only related to the 500 map edits, and the other points aren't candies.
So besides new quests, it could be enough to isolate each of these points as different candies and have then shown as quests.
For example, show on dashboard the upcoming cookies - "123 map edits needed for next cookie" or "45KM left for next driving cookie" or "90m left for next pave cookie". For the map edits it should also give a hint on how many 500 edits already done and ready to be eaten on the map. And having each cookie slightly different for each type would be nice. Or they can be the same, but the value would tell us which type it is - 750 for editing, 100 for driving, etc. -

quests themselves could add something like:
- 1000 kilometers with Waze, then rolling in 10000, 50000, etc.;
- Send 100 notifications about road conditions, rolling in 1000, 5000, etc.;
- Created a certain number of kilometers of new roads directly from the application;
- Continue the quest 500 miles per week. -

There is nothing to improve left on some areas :) More quests - more users will stay with Waze. Lots of ppl has left the Waze after they done all quests.
