there should be distinct points tables for
• utility of reports vs frivolity
• usage of founded group(s)
• confirming events rather than duplicating
• GPS precision of road recording
• contributing metrics when not navigating
• accuracy AND precision details of reports
•° requires tweaking voting semantics
•° wiki contribution
•° forum helpfulness
•°° refraining from "agreed" without authority
•°° avoiding useless duplication
• adding media to reports
•° I would but waze does not sanitize images prior to upload. needs must convert to PNG24 before upload to strip away JPEG Meta/embeds
• consolidation of report pegs. mod up spatially proximate mod down slow reflex pegs

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year. We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.

if you like whatsapp ad spewing malware you'll be delighted by actually-free :

xmpp is federated meaning Bob's server will exchange messages with Sally's and any other
waze can only talk to waze domain, whatsapp can only talk to whatsapp client: no free market of client design
interweb search: public xmpp server
iPhone android Hb and win all have actual freeware xmpp. clients
what's more with an OTR capable client not even the server admins can know the content of your messages
