Add friends without facebook
Why am I forced to use facebook in order to add friends to Waze?? I don't use facebook, 75% of the world's population does not use facebook at all (and more with every day). Is keeping fb afloat Waze's most important purpose?
Anyway, I don't want facebook friends on Waze, I want Waze friends on Waze and facebook friends on facebook, don't try to mix a driving app with a social network.

From the looks of post. Waze does not check this out or on Facebook payroll (funny since Goggle owns Waze). I can connect with my friends through email on Google maps, so why not allow it on Waze

When I first started using Waze you didn't need Facebook you could just add from contacts ! Bring this back

My friends are the ones in my phone contact, not some Facebook app. Need to come out of stone age and allow more people to get in contact with their true friends that they met with, that are in contact list, not Facebook chatter

As others have said I don't want to share with Facebook friends but with selected friends who may or may not have Facebook. If someone us a Waze user I should be able to connect with them without fb

If memory serves this functionality existed in waze when I first started using it many years ago. One could create a lost of friends within waze by providing their e-mail address or telephone number. Somewhere along the line they removed this functionality to give Zuckerberg the exclusive.
