This is an excellent idea. People like us can also edit maps to show best bike friendly routes.

Or use realtime data from apps like strava or mapmyride.

Dear Waze, plz do consider to add in other vehicle type at the "NAVIGATION>More Options" for greater convenience from different user type: Bicycle, Segway etc. With this plz do consider a better way for these user/vehicle to access the fastest inner roads (which of coz u gotta tweak to a 3D/4D visual so the user/vehicle would know) :Through buildings, corridors, ramp, plain field etc. Just my 2 cents on Marketing

Seria ideal tener la opcion de rutas para la bicicleta, creo que solo google maps y Bike citizens (que es inglesa) la tienen.

Seria ainda mais legal, se o waze tivesse as ciclo faixas cadastradas e redirecionasse os ciclistas para elas. Realmente a ideia deles aparecerem na nossa poderia evitar graves acidentes.

I would soooo love for Waze to add an option for cyclist, I use your app while commuting everyday but there are times where I ended up on motor ways with my bike, please please integrate this choice in your app. Keep up the good work.

I live in coastal Delaware and bicycle culture is bigger than ever. With so many new trails in the area it might be nice to have a version just for bicyclists or perhaps a way to identify as a bicyclist to all waze users?

Ando muito em estradas e sempre vejo ciclistas. Seria interessante se houvesse um waze alternativo para ciclistas. Seria bom para eles se orientarem e verem as anotações feitas por motoristas, assim como fazer recomendações ligadas ao trecho que estão. Mas o mais importante seria os carros poderem vê-los antecipadamente, prevenindo acidentes. Espero que isso ocorra, acho muito legal a convivência entre bicicletas e carros, com respeito de ambos os lados!

I see bike riders getting hit by cars all the time. Why not add a feature for bicycle riders, they can log in to a life gps. That way when you have your waze app on it will announce there is a bike rider up ahead. Some roads are narrow, some roads sharp turns. You hug a turn? You may hit a human on a bike. Once you pass the bike rider it disappears. It's a safe way for bike riders to let people know they are around the sharp turn since they cannot ride on sidewalks.

Bicycles are all over the place, add a feature that can track it and not cause Bicycle riders like me lol to give lots of odd GPS data.

Need bike GPS ! Waze is the best GPS making a bike GPS would make it a lot better.

Bicycles are used more and more. To support features for people using bikes, the first thing to do is to extend the types with streets on the map with Bicycle Lane or Bikeway. Once that's in place new features to support cyclists can be added.

First I just want to say; I LOVE WAZE!!! I recommend it to everybody I know!!! I am now looking for a good navigation app for my bike but so far no success. Nothing is as user friendly and accurate as Waze. I guess I'm spoiled. Maybe a good idea to incorporate navigation for bikes in the app. You know with the environment and all changing, more and more people use the bike.

Sounds like a good idea, as it's very necessary in Israel. Not once, I've came across with a big group of cyclists that are cycling on a small roads (like on the ways around Jerusalem and such) where there are lots of twists on those roads and drivers cannot know if there are cyclists when they turn. Sometimes those cyclists even interfere to the drivers to bypass them which is making it very annoying either.

Anyway, if I may add, when the cycling group leader will announce their location, it would track their location via the GPS, so every time they move, a symbol on the main Waze application will move with them. That way it will be easy to know their exact location.
