Avoid a specific road
I've seen a number of posts regarding this, and myself have wanted this on various occasions for a number of different reasons. The alternatives (avoid highway, avoid toll, avoid dirt) are useful in many cases, but there are also many cases where they simply don't serve the actual need.
For example, this reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/waze/comments/6vfd6m/can_i_stop_waze_from_rerouting_or_select_a/) is from a user that wants to specifically avoid the Capital Beltway (I-495). Not because it's a highway, and not because of a perceived inability for Waze to determine traffic, but just as a personal preference. As another example, sometimes when driving through D.C. or Baltimore, I find myself wanting to avoid certain local roads at night time, specifically ones where the street lights are not working. There are many personal preference reasons one might have to want to avoid a specific road! And hearing things like "you can use this other option" is usually not helpful, because the asker of the question has already explored the menu and found those options!
There are a couple ways this could be presented to the user. In the settings menu, I could see a list of roads you want to avoid, and a button to add a road, which takes you to the map, possible with a search option. Maybe when navigating the map normally, one of the things a long-press gets you is the ability to mark a road to avoid. Maybe when you are presented with a list of directions, you can swipe away a turn to indicate you don't want to go onto that road, and you're then asked "this trip only / this and all future trips?"
This is getting long-winded. It suffices to say I've thought about this a lot and would like to see this feature. Thanks for reading.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

When looking at the list of pending turns/directions, it would be helpful to be able to tap something to avoid that turn.
As an example, even through Waze has been with me on my drive for work for a few years, it daily tells me to go to a specific road and take the turn there, when the road before it has a much better intersection with less hassle. While the other road may be faster, I want the ability to tell Waze that I don't like going there, and have it *only* suggest that way when it is the last resort.
Likewise, when I'm taking my motorcycle I avoid certain roads around here because they get too backed up, busy, and hectic. The route that I take is most certainly longer, but it would be good to be able to tell Waze that I wish to avoid that one highway unless there is no other alternative for getting home (ie, the other road I normally take might have an accident or closure).
Both of these would not only require storing more information about me (and the roads/intersections I've said I like to avoid) but would also require weighting in the algorithm to determine at what point does my desire to avoid an intersection get overridden by the fact that the alternatives are slower, closed, or otherwise undesirable.

For example one of the country lanes i was taken on was so narrow i had to continuously stop/slowdown to let other cars past coming towards me. my cars big Audi A8. so maybe car size can be factored into this somehow. only saying...

I'd like to configure to avoid some streets at certain times during week days. This would be very useful for me.

If Waze can learn preferred routes, I guess that the same algorithm can be used the other way around. That would be great to avoid dangerous places, damaged roads, unpleasant areas, etc, that Waze would not be able to identify by itself.
Waze frequently sends me through routes that are faster or shorter, but that I would

I don't want to avoid all the toll roads just one. i.e. in Israel I want to use road 6 (toll road) but never enter the fast lane in road 1 (toll lane).
I need to drive through road 6 & 1 every day and Waze always chooses the fast lane for me even if road 1 is jammed and I need an alternative through road 1.
