Also, waze- if done correctly, this would be a huge boost in constant viewership (i.e.- increases your advertising). I would have waze on every moment I drive.

Some area have speed limits that vary according to the time of day, eg school zones. Providing warning that you’re entering a variable speed zone would be useful.

We are a team of 3rd graders from Portland Oregon doing LEGO Robotics and our project is "Safer Kids! Safer Cities". We see that you don't have any school zone alerts in your navigation system. Would it be possible to alert drivers when they are in school zone? (similar to how you show hotels, restaurants, gas stations)?

school zones need to know when they should be 'active' (both time of day, days of week, and term time) and clearly flagged to help reduce speed and avoid accidents.

Hello we are the 6th Grade Cavallini Robotics team. We have an idea for an add-on, that could make people safer.


This add-on will hopefully reduce the number of injuries due to cars speeding in school zones.We plan to warn drivers when they are driving through school zones through the use of a warning on the screen and an audio clip that would allow the driver to recognize the presence of a school zone even if they aren’t looking at the map.

Question:
We are at that time of year where school zones are active in the mornings and afternoons. Being able to identify school zones noting speeds and times of morning and afternoon as well as actual beginning and ending locations would be beneficial to all Wazers during their commutes. Also, having Waze route Wazers around school zones when possible would be an added benefit that could both speed up a commute and possible reduce congestion through school zones. Thoughts? 2. Add an option to avoid school zones.

Simply include any school zone that you are approaching. A simple verbal warning that you are approaching a school zone would make it much safer for children and help drivers not get caught in speed traps.

I just wondered why the school zone and time features still don’t have on the app. This is very important and safety features for our kids and us. Let’s build it together. Also I read a lot of recommendations here about it.

In addition to being able to program variable speed limits, you could add a yellow school zone colour to roads on the map that are part of a school zone.

I think if waze could add in school zone speed limits during the hours they're active, that would be really great. This would save a lot of people from getting traffic tickets, and would help improve road safety for kids. It could be a community feature where wazers add in where they start/end, and what hours they're active, then during those hours the app displays the actual speed limit!

Can you also make speed alert beeps bit more consistent when you go throughout the speed limit
