Option to keep "battery saver" always on
Waze has this new "battery saver" feature that dims the screen when there is a long way until the next turn/action. As I understand, currently this feature only kicks in when the battery level is low (<25%). Or you can manually turn it on for a current trip, but it revert to the default behaviour next time you start Waze.
I suggest to add an option to keep it ALWAYS on. Because I would like to use it all the time... Even if the battery level is not low, I'd like to save it for the rest of the day. One way to implement this would be, for example, to make the threshold battery level adjustable - so it would be 25% by default, and I would set it to 100% (=always on).
Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

Same for me, I go into settings to turn on battery saver for every trip.
Having the screen brighten up a mile before a turn is great for me as I don't generally use the audio output -

I've been hoping for this feature for a long time as well. I do a lot of driving in areas that I'm familiar with so I don't need a long heads-up from Waze about upcoming turns. I'm mainly use it for traffic avoidance.
To avoid having to toggle battery saver constantly, I sometimes get the route overview and turn waze off afterwards. It's probably in Waze's best interest to not annoy its users and increase the likelihood of being used for longer periods of time. Having the option to have battery saver on always is definitely going to do that in my case.

Agree, I have to go to battery saver settings every single drive to turn it on regardless of battery level. It is a must to keep screen dimmed to prevent AMOLED display burn-in.

I have had Waze "burn in" on two separate phones now (because I use it a lot) and now I manually turn on the "battery saver" function for every drive to prevent burn-in.
It would be very useful to have the option to turn on battery saver by default for every drive so I do not have to turn it on manually each time.
Alternatively, a "low color" version of Waze to prevent burn-in. I don't need a display that looks like a Skittles commercial -- (to help prevent burn-in).

I suggest the option to adjust the battery level at which the battery saver function turns on automatically.

Could we have an option to have battery saver always active, not just active for current drive.

I like a lot the power saving feature, but I think that there is missing features :
- a way of configuring when it will be enabled without having to go in settings and enabling it each time a start using waze.
- a way of allowing the feature to be used when the phone is in charge. Now it is still enabled when the phone is in charge, but it is not in use. I use the feature for power saving but also for screen saving, I have an oled screen, and I'm concerned about burn-in/image retention. -

I have screen burn in from the Waze HUD, please make the battery saving mode setting a permanent toggle as its always been a hassle to select it with every use.

Came here to make this suggestion. Phone got very warm today because it was bright and charging while using Waze. The screen dimming while waiting for the next direction/warning is a great idea. But why is it not a permanent toggle? Please expedite!

Please add optional feature that turns phone screen only before crucial turns.

To help save the battery, how about turning off the application once I arrive to my destination and the app is in the background?

Running Waze on my previous Samsung caused it to get very hot. Eventually my phone completely died and my suspicion was that the hot running had contributed to its demise. For that reason I always use the battery saver when running Waze on my new phone, as this seems to keep it from heating up. It is a real pain to have to enable the battery saver mode manually for each journey, so let's have an option to retain that mode indefinitely please.

This would be very welcome and also battery saving feature on iOS at least as it is on android. I had screen burn-in after about 15 months of non heavy usage of Waze on my old S8. And I keep always auto brightness.

Right now, when the battery saver is on and the screen is dimmed, there's no visual alert when overspeed. And if like me, you muted Waze because otherwise it keeps biping all the time, you can completely miss the overspeed.
So is it possible to '' undim only the speed limit panel '' when overspeeding?
