Drivers using WAZE have clogged the streets so terribly in the summer, when people are trying shortcuts for the Santa Cruz beaches, that we can't even turn onto major streets to live life. It sometmes would take an hour (as long as to go to San Francisco), to get to Safeway or downtown, or to the high school, 1.8 miles away. Crowd sourced "shortcuts" have created impassable conditions on Saturday and Sunday mornings in the summer.
