The big and obvious one, is to add support for offline maps, it’s such a big feature and yet such a common feature in almost all maps, such as google maps and even Apple Maps is getting it this year. But also supporting dual frequency gps on apple devices. Currently the only Apple iPhones that have this hardware are the iPhone 14 pro and iPhone 14 pro max, which consists of the legacy L1 frequency but also the modernised L5 frequencies. Having this gps capability supported would allow for much greater accuracy and performance in navigation as the combination of L1 and L5 frequencies together would allow for signals to pass through large obstacles such as buildings and trees compared to only L1.

Currently there are some limitations to navigation while in offline mode. Whilst some are understandable, not being able to see real-time closures, for instance, the biggest problem with offline mode as it stands just now is the cached roads don't seem to respect the segment data that may restrict travel along them.

As a member of the community has found (https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2324443#p2324443) when navigating offline, even 24/7 restrictions in place on the map do not get respected and the user gets directed through them.
This could cause many issues for the users involved which would not have came up with an active data connection.

I would suggest having this data saved internally in the app as many other parts of map data must be would make the routing more reliable and trustworthy when the user has an intermittent data connection.
This data is already present in a similar way to turn restrictions which currently *do* work as expected so the potential is there.

While driving in a “No Network Connection” area, be able to report hazards, police, speed-traps, etc… so when the maps updates it’s shown for the other drivers that will go through that area.

Please could you enable us to change Work title to a custom name as not all of us are able to work. Also to be able to download maps to use Waze offline. Many thanks

Keep in mind that Waze has the possibility to re-route if you leave the programmed route and you are without cell reception. However, it won't be able to talk to the closures server (so might route through closures, based on the cached map available.) If you are driving a long distance without any cell reception (e.g. you're driving in a foreign country and disabled data roaming) it only caches a small strip around your route. You can get off the highway to get to a gas station and Waze will route you back onto the highway. Just note that it's better to re-sync your route on the gas station's wifi (when available) to make sure it takes closures into consideration and updates with the latest traffic info and reports.

This feature has been requested 10 years ago. Your response is "not right now"? And that the team is interested in new ideas?What does that even mean 10 years after it's been requested? If the answer is no, can you please just say that instead of corpspeak that doesn't mean anything?

Offline navigation is a necessary feature for many large areas and some popular tourist attractions such as the Grand Canyon. Last time I went there if I hadn't downloaded an offline map from Google maps before my trip I would have gotten there and then when I left had no idea where to go since Waze can't calculate a route offline.

I completely agree with this, there are many large areas across the country that do not have cell coverage.
I have received many reports (and experienced it myself) where after driving a ways without internet the map does not have any tiles. If I hadn't downloaded an offline map from Google maps before my trip I would have gotten to my destination and then when I left had no idea where to go since Waze can't calculate a route offline.

Use the pdf as a functional evidence when the rides are expensed by a company

Setup alert condition for location if user gives a location it should connect with offline downloaded map and GPS. When the user given location reaches it should throw an alert by playing (notification tone) so the user can be notified before they reaches the location mostly for users using public transport

Já tive problema quando fiquei offline e não consegui definir uma rota a partir de um lugar remoto.

Would be awesome to be able to download maps of a chosen area to minimize data download while on the road and only download traffic data updates. While on a multiple hour trip, you could download all the maps you need at home.

Offline maps so you can use it abroad without data charges and in the UK where there is no signal, would be fantastic?

Yes this is very important i face same problems when i go through villages crossing countries and lose internet because of roaming i'm very screwed up! This needs a fix immediately, we need to be able to store offline maps !

O aplicativo poderia mesmo estando off line poderíamos registrar buracos entre outros perigos existentes na rodovia e sem limites de cadastro hoje o aplicativo não permite esse recurso de registrar buracos off fora que é limitado o número de cadastros onde o mesmo deveria ser ilimitado e mesmo off line podermos cadastrar perigos durante o percurso, outro recurso seria o cadastro de novos radares que sumiu do aplicativo e o mesmo tbm volte e possa cadastrar off line
