Very much in agreement that making pedestrian paths R3+ will save a lot of headaches.

@Pieter The Believer: if all the traffic is stuck for 2 hours, the live data from Waze will automatically reroute you to a better route, if there is one.

@Mike: Not sure where you are looking for purple lines, but often purple roads indicate highways. Waze uses colours for classification of roads.

It's been asked very often to have a truck option, but Waze HQ always replied that it's not a priority for them and - at the same time - they find that it's a big liability issue. It takes a lot of effort to enter all the information for weight and size restrictions for the entire Waze database. And they are afraid they will be responsible if a vehicle gets stuck because information is flawed / out of date / missing.
But I agree I'd love to see the feature too. I occasionally have to drive trucks and there is currently no real low-cost GPS option with trucking routes.

Hello folks!
Keep in mind that Waze has the possibility to re-route if you leave the programmed route and you are without cell reception. However, it won't be able to talk to the closures server (so might route through closures, based on the cached map available.) If you are driving a long distance without any cell reception (e.g. you're driving in a foreign country and disabled data roaming) it only caches a small strip around your route. You can get off the highway to get to a gas station and Waze will route you back onto the highway. Just note that it's better to re-sync your route on the gas station's wifi (when available) to make sure it takes closures into consideration and updates with the latest traffic info and reports.

This would seem useless at minimum, dangerous at worst.
Vehicles that would enter roads closed to the public would know where to present and ignore GPS instruction. If there is a bypass, it would invite users to drive into closed-down areas that aren't allowed to go there.
This is outside of the scope of Waze. -

This is the wrong place to post Map Errors.

You should correct the address on Google Maps as well.
In my city, the biggest issue is with interrupted streets and the way they are named in Google Maps. If the name is slightly different between sections, or missing a translation, it can screw up everything.
Ideally there should be a way for WME editors to send tickets to Google Maps, other than the existing methods for any Google Maps user.
