It would be great to be able to report icy roads on waze for fellow wazers.

Also, need a easier way to report potholes, my suggestion:
- Winter driving mode: one-touch pothole reporting, with the following options
- Right now
- 30 seconds ago (then Waze can estimate the location based on the vehicle's current speed
- 400m or 1/4 mile behind (this assumes that the driver has an okay sense of distance when driving, so the time delay may be better, but just a thought)When driving, sometimes you cannot touch your smart phone's screen right away
Also, when in Winter Mode, display and warm the potholes reported by other users.
The delayed reporting options could also be used to report other road hazards.
Thanks.

REALLY like the idea of accident black spot warnings.

Totally agree with mobile speed cams. 99% of speed cams in Saudi Arabia are mobile ones, they usually are set up at the beginning of the day and the authorities take them off at the end of the day. Adding a new report option for mobile speed cams which can last for a minimum of 6 hours and an extra hour for everytime it gets thanked by a wazer wil make this app the most successful app in Saudi Arabia I guarantee you that.

Many of the reports I need are in road when I need them on verge or hard shoulder or vice versa. These other comments and ideas are awesome too!.
Can reporting all these things be easier by voice please. There are many options for you to implementbthis fairly easily -

Maybe in the Hazard section you could add RAIN <Hard> <moderate> <light> because some times it's raining but not foggy or ice ( for Quebec summers)

Consider adding an option to report service vehicles stopped on the road and/or shoulder - which is to mean any official vehicle other than law enforcement, which has its own category. Electric utilities, local government maintenance vehicles, fire/rescue, phone/cable vehicles, tow trucks, etc.
I also support the idea of being able to toggle specific warnings on and off. Vehicle on shoulder reports, and red light cameras that I come across regularly and am well aware of, are tiresome.
Also, I vote against trying to come up with "mobile" reports such as cyclists, pedestrians, rolling law enforcement, and things that are moving. There is no way to program anything to predict where these things will go in the next 30 seconds, making 100% of these reports inaccurate within 30 seconds. No thank you.

Really need a way to report Animals in road. And known place where farm animals escape on a regular basis.

Before adding anymore alerts fix the inability of a user to select which of your current alerts they want to hear.
We need to have the option to turn off vehicle stopped on shoulder audio messages.

Also to have the ability to report "Not there" and "Thumbs Up" using voice only while the hazard warning is active—it's currently impossible to report a temporary hazard gone without taking your eyes off the road.

Would be nice to add Hazard -> Weather -> Heavy Rain as well. Think Monsoon style rains.

I would also really like:
Hazard -> On Road -> Lane blocked by construction, because currently to my knowledge it is not possible to post a lane closure at all, especially not due to construction -

Please consider dropping the number of reports within a certain time frame when bad weather or road conditions are involved. If roads are icy or snowy or foggy it's better that others know the extent and progression of those conditions on the route you're driving.

This needs to be tread on very lightly.
Trapster grew to have dozens of report types, and over time, the map became hopelessly cluttered (even when it was moderated) because of it.
As mentioned over and over again, there's no point to reporting moving police. As soon as the cop turns off the street in question, the report is useless.

Very import in my country: Hazard -> Criminal area or robbery or heavy armed drug dealers. Many people have died in my country (Brazil) after following waze 's instructions without knowing that the path went through a slum/favela (extremely hazardous area / high risk of assault ).we need the option to warn about situations of violence in traffic. PLEEASE!

And while implementing extra report options... please also provide in a way to individually mute them (or per class)
The more chatter, the more some people will get annoyed.... I drive each day about 120km to work and back and I can't count the number of "vehicles on shoulder" which don't really affect me (but I have no way right now to switch it off without switching off all).

Need to be able to report this when well past the event. A different class of hazard - LIFE Saver!
Water on road in heavy rain - when you drive through it the first time, the driver will keep the car safe first. Then only have time to report much after.
Need to be able to designate specific lane too.
( would be good to automatically send these to the local road maintenance authority too.)

Differentiate between FIXED speed cams and MOBILE speed traps.
Seems the reporting option is confusing because you have 'both' the 'Camera' option AND the 'Police' option.
My recommendation would be to have the 'Police' option and then the 'Camera' option which would then lead to the next option of MOBILE or FIXED Speed Camera.
This way if we see a Police car/Officer on the road for any other reason than those covered by other report options (speed trap/accident).. then we can cover that with tapping 'Police'.. but if we see either Police (or other) operating a speed trap, then this can be covered with the 'Speed Camera' - 'Mobile' option.N.B. I will say as well that it would be a very good idea to somehow have a 'Pop-Up' option you can select which alerts you clearly when a MOBILE speed camera trap has ben reported on your route and/or within a certain distance from your location.

Also, Animal ON road would be a great one. I understand that animal near shoulder is an option but while traveling from Boston to NYC last week I almost hit a deer on the highway and the best I could do was hazard. There has to be a better way. I understand that you need to limit options because people are driving or passenger but maybe re-think the options and there location.

Heavy rain is definitely a hazard--at highway speeds, it's next to impossible to see beyond the front of the car.
