Duplicate of many other suggestions. Best scenario in 2021 would be for Waze to partner with other organizations who have the data and not rely on Waze editors to supply it. In the US PlugShare and Charge Point, even Tesla.

There are a lot of similar EV suggestions - these should be somehow combined.

Waze should just partner with data providers who are well established and have all the necessary EV charging location info, and not rely on editor crowd sourced info. In the US, organizations like Charge Point and Plug Share. Also with manufacturers who have their own charging network (a-la Tesla).

Please consider partnering with other organizations who already have well established datasets, and not rely on Waze editors to crowd source the info (especially if they are not EV drivers).

Waze is way behind in this area. Joke that you can set the vehicle type to Electric and get "preferred routes for electric vehicles". There are plenty of other apps - including those built into electric vehicles - that can help you find charging points.

Waze should partner with other third party providers (in the US like Charge Point or PlugShare) and not rely on editor crowd sourced POI.

Waze should also offer routes that are sensible for electric vehicles, which may include not using FW type when slower roads (which can conserve battery) are available and only add a few minutes to the journey.

This should be revised so Waze development team doesn't see the two requirements as connected. Personally I think they should *just* add Electric as a preferred fuel type NOW, and then they'll eventually implement the charging point navigation later on their own accord when they realise how large of a user base currently drives electric.
