Google Maps now offers search for charging stations in most countries. It would be amazing if Waze could get this feature, too.
At least showing them on the map or being able to search them along the route would be great! Even better if we could plan ev-compatible routes with planned charging stops or adapted average speeds (a little slower on the Autobahn than the average gasoline car, for example).

The Waze community could be a great help in mapping the available charging stations and being at the forefront of the mobility revolution.

It's difficult to find EV stations within Waze -- forcing EV owners to use a different app. There are two reasons for this. 1) No concerted effort to map them from editors. 2) search terms for EV are difficult to get right to find them. Suggest it is added to the list of category searches, similar to Parking, gas stations, food, coffee, etc...

Where are the available parking spaces?
Where are the the electric charging stations?
Where are the available zip cars?
Where is the bus? The light rail?
Where is the nearest rental bike?

Could available charging stations in SEATTLE be posted on Waze? The Seattle Electric Vehicle Association would be a great contact point for a project like this. They would be a great resource to locate the best locations for a pilot program.

By the way, I own a LoRaWAN gateway on TTN (The Things Network) and love to experiment with LoRaWAN sensors. And, I'm a member of SEVA.

You can already tell Waze that you're driving an electric vehicle... so why do I still see "gas stations" as an option? Google Maps already has EV charging station POIs - let us select "EV Charging" instead of "gas stations"!

yeah i just LOVE to keep seeing ads at the top of wayze for " this gas station near you have the cheapest gas" :P
